GT 2550 Hood

My lawn tractor is about 10 years old and in excellent shape. This year the stand offs where the hood is bolted on all four either c racked or broken off. I imagine from the age of the plastic. Went online to buy a new hood... dang, they quit making them. Ended up buying a used one on ebay for a hefty price and the stand offs were cracked on that one. I used matting and epoxy to brace up the stand offs, hopefully it will last...
Not sure if newer hoods would work or make work. Dealer says they are different.
Anyway, thought I would give heads up!

I removed that cheap plastic hood off my GT-2550, and got a steel hood off a Ferguson TO tractor at a salvage yard. Tin-smithed it, [Google the image of "GT 2550 Cub Cadet" ] to see it.] Works perfect, cools the engine, looks like a retro-hoodlum-gangsta mower; looks very cool, IMHO.
