Hi! I have a Grillo 107d for now over five years. Run fine. At first I had some clay soil. With tiller tines in soil look for push the tractor. BCS and Grillo are too light. I add weight in wheels 80 lb . Now a lot better.
For flail mower . I dont know. For me I prefer rotary mower. More easy to keep sharp. Less expensive to buy and repair. And often make a better job.
For snow with a blade you need a lot of weight in wheels .
I adapt a TORO front end snowblower. Run very well. Can blow snow over 30 ft. You cannot adapt this on BCS because wrong rotation. Good luck! Oldmech grilosou.jpg

I wonder what would be faster and till better a tiller or a bersa rotary plow . does anyone have a trailer for theirs for riding on and transporting the tiller , gas, chainsaw , lunch etc. ?

Welcome to the forum. There is a ton of good info here.

I don't know if you can have a trailer and transport the tiller. I have the front mount cart on a 107d and love it. Depending on where your driving I assume a ride on could be a rough ride.

Welcome to the group!

I just got home from the MOSES Organic conference in La Crosse. Did you go?

The Berta rotary plow is far superior to a rototiller for breaking ground. It cuts a 10" path, but will till deeper in that one pass than a tiller will in three passes. In doing so, it's far gentler on the soil and will not make a hardpan like a tiller can if misused. It will also do a better job of burying the sod than a tiller. I think it's one of the most useful attachments you can own if you have a large garden.

You can buy a curved coupler that will allow you to pull a trailer with the tiller attached. I don't know if you can use the same quick coupler with the plow attached.

Hillsboro is fairly close to me, closer than OshKosh, anyway. I am currently the only dealer in Wisconsin, but that could change any day now.

I just emailed Joel. He just got back to Kentucky from MOSES, so he may take awhile to respond. As soon as I know, you'll know.

Bought a 107D last year, so far I've only used the tiller attachment and its a huge improvement for me. I mainly use it for raised beds and weed control once things are growing too thick or tall for the 40 hp tractor. Never had a good tiller like a Grillo or BCS, it blows away the common box store machine by far. I want to get the berta plow next. I guess I do at least 2 acres with the tiller, probably more. I don't break ground much with it since I do have a 6' pto tiller, but I have tilled some really tough rocky and hard chert like stuff and it gets the job done. The 107D lets me pack in my rows tighter, I do have a nice 4x4 tractor with all the attachments, but the 107D still saw lots of use last year. Trying to avoid all chem weed killers so, I use the 107d to lightly cultivate things. Love how it is so easy to turn and control in tight spots, the tiller is great for small seeds, makes a very nice and fine seed bed. Love the tine speed.

I use this units commercially, but my next 107d will be a diesel. The diesel 8hp burns fuel at .25 gph at WOT. My Honda is closer to .65
