grill repair

Noticed the plastic(?) nose of my tractor ( TYM T450) is cracked just above latch ...any ideas how to repair ???

I had to replace one on a T353 HST after poking some brush through it. I believe the grill was less than $30 and arrived in less than a week from my local dealer and took less than 10 minutes to replace. I added a metal guard made out of 1/8" 2X2 angle iron and expanded metal to the factory guard. By cutting the angel iron in two places and bending it I put a curve in the expanded metal which made it quite stiff and rigid. This works well to protect the plastic grill. I'll try to add a picture this weekend.

If the hood itself is cracked try JB Weld compound. It can be sanded down flush and painted. Be sure to drill a hole in the end of the crack as a stress reliever and fill the hole as well.

I have repaired many plastic items including my tractor grill, trailer fender flares and portable gas cans using a hot glue gun.
The trick is to mix some hot glue in with the plastic part being repaired.
Heck I even repaired Cessna plastic wing tips that way.

Drill stop, fiberglass from the rear, fill crack, sand, blend paint

Talked to dealer today and wants $158.96 for replacement ?!!...guess will be a repair job...funny, there seems to be a double layer of plastic there as not cracked all the way through ( more splintered )...maybe inject some kind of plastic glue and clamp (?) thanks to all...al
