If a DIY project, maybe the mesh should be a replaceable insert instead of welding it in. Make two or three while we're at it. Or lay the bent one down on concrete, drive over it a couple of times, and remount it...

The main reason I posted this. I read a post on TBN where a member had no grill guard. He wiped out his grill and radiator. I immediately had my grill guard modified. Even BEFORE I purchased and had the grapple installed. I know the modified guard has saved me several times. I've picked limbs out the expanded mesh two times now.

I wish I would have asked for heavier expanded metal. This is all the weld shop had at the time. So far - it works 100%.

Yeah, but even just the black grill material is expensive! The black net grill was over $400 on my Kubota.

Mine is held on with linchpins, so I have taken it off, used a rubber hammer to straighten it after a branch has hit it.

On another story, I was getting truck tires at a tire dealer yesterday and they had a Kubota tractor there with a cab on it and the lower back window, the part that doesn’t open was broke and they were talking to windshield company to get new glass and they said the same glass you guys replaced two weeks ago. He broke it again. Looks like he’s raising the tiller too high with the three-point and hitting the glass.
