Hello Everyone,
Can't wait for this heat to die down. Wish it would rain. Have a little house with too much yard  for a mind that says yes and a body that doesn't want to listen with little income to hire any assistance. So i get gasoline, electric tools, & hand tools to do what needs doing. Currently privacy fences gave out. I've been trying out what I can afford in the One Man Gasoline PHD Power head & auger category. What I buying nightmare.
All manufactured in China, look alike with different specifications 1.5HP, 2HP, 2.3HP varying gear ratios and torque out, some have American Brand Names stuck to the string starters. I've learned lots about these little could be handy tools. I'll post reviews once I find a working power head.
So this DIYWoman comes to you veterans :dance1: With 2 questions: 1.How hot do Reduction Gearboxes run on these mini Gasoline PHD? 2. What is the best Moly EP2 for working in Hot Texas Caliche? Have a new Power Head from Ebay, not what I ordered but want to test it before loosing more $ I don't have to ship it back. However, was only a dot of some blue grease called Tamoil Tamlith Grease 2 in Reduction Gearbox, don't want to run test without adding at least a couple of oz of good Moly EP2 in it doesn't work and I have to send it back. So I need to know how hot these little PH diggers run to get grease that has sufficient breakdown temperature tolerance. Green Grease advertises for -"any applications up 500F". Is this good enough with ambient temp. of 100F + ?
