I can't like that one enough. No comparison and no other grease has ever been used on this farm going back to my Grandfather. One grease every use.

And unlike the cartridge thread. Still metal pull tab and cardboard

I’m real unhappy with the Lucas green tubes moving to these plastic pull tabs. Where are you getting it from?
I use and am pleased with Texas Refinery 880 Crown and Chassis grease.
OK, where does one get this in tubes, but lots of them? I have heard this is a great grease, too.
It may be time for a change.
Or I may try the Schaffers.

I order by the case direct from them. Was going to be a sales rep but not my thing. 2 cases would get you free shipping. It is by dollar amount. Look for posts by me elsewhere on here I put in the latest price as of 2 year’s ago I believe.

The guy that does some of my hauling uses paragon 2000??? On his forestry mulcher. Similar to 880 but better

I’m fairly certain I have a tweaked universal on my rake pto shaft from an incident over 20 years ago. Is the grease what’s keeping it working this long. Who’s to say.

Had a 30 year old pto yoke wear out on a mower my dad bought new in ‘89. Never had the universal replaced. Is it grease or maintenance? We will never know.

I bought by the case from an outfit in Sacramento CA just prior to pandemic.

A case lasts me a very long time.

I wish I could post current 2025 availability.

Hi all. I'm both a user and a Schaeffer Lubricants sales rep here in the Hudson Valley,NY. I see some members here are also Schaeffer guys, like to see that. In my excavating biz I have used our 229,238, 274, and my fav, our 219. They're all great aluminum complex greases, all with moly. Little known story most don't know is that during Operation Desert Storm, the tail rotor bearings were going South because of the blowing sand. When that happens, the helicopter gets squirrely and our laser system isn't accurate which could have cost American lives. Our CEO heard about this, called up some mucky muck in our military and told him Schaeffer will donate barells of our 238 grease and there will be no more problems with those bearings. Deal went through and here we are.

I sell at wholesale pricing so if anybody has any questions or wants to order any product, please let me know. Also, want to mention that during August, if you buy a 55 gallon drum of engine or hydraulic oil, you get a free product up to app.a $200 value such as a case of grease, a case of Penetro, Citrol or a fuel additive of some type.

Thanks,
Wayne

In the Texas oilfield and farm we used to have problems with grease compatibility - at least we thought compatibility was the reason that caused grease to harden. Loader bushing pins locked up by hardened grease were a big problem - we never could figure out why it happened some times and not others.

Of course lots of times we were greasing equipment without knowing what kind of old grease was already in there. We avoided aluminum based greases just because grease tables show they aren't compatible with most other types of grease.

Does any of that apply to Shaeffer's aluminum based grease?
