Grease - is there no better way? Can we talk about this?

I hope if you are using TRC that is not where you are buying it. $18/tube is way to much but buy 2 tubes and they ship free.

I am not using TRC yet. I have used my last cardboard tube of the RNT and need to get something to replace it. Numerous folks over the years have recommended the TRC and I thought I would give it a try. TRC is not available locally and that is the first place I found it online. I'm all ears if you have a better/cheaper source.

How does one select "Lithium complex" at the grease counter?
Always clearly labeled. 90% of the tubes you're going to come across in any place selling tractor stuff are either Lithium complex or Polyurea. Most brands will color them differently for easy identification. IIRC, Deere's Lithium is green and their Polyurea is red... but I might have that backwards. :ROFLMAO:

Deere states in all of their literature that I've read, that their Lithium complex and polyurea are 100% compatible. Deere sells good lubricants, but they're not magic. Meaning, if they say their lithium and polyurea greases are compatible, then I'd suspect nearly all non-specialized lithiums and polyureas are probably compatible.

I think polyurea grease is usually green. The Lucas green is polyurea.

I order mine directly from TRC by the case. If you only use a tube or 2 a year then maybe your link is the way to go. Or call TRC and see if you have a local sales rep and buy by the box.

My last post on this thread was my latest price paid. I get about 2.5 years out of a case.
