Thinking I'm in the market for a user 16g, 18g or 20g. I'm seeing two different deck styles: ones with four heavy duty casters and ones with two trailing anti-scalp wheels. Can anyone expand further on the differences between these?

I have the 72" cut version of the 4 wheel deck.

With 4 wheels, and 2 anti-scalp rollers,, scalping is virtually impossible!!

If I remember correctly,,, the deck weighs almost 700 pounds.
When I am on a grade, turning,,, I lift the deck slightly so the drive tires do not spin.
That much weight really keeps the tractor moving when I lift it.

Very helpful thank you. Looking at a 20g w/ 60" deck (for $2k) and maybe a 16g w/ 48" deck (for $1k) this weekend. Leaning towards the 20g, but concerned about maneuverability and deck width on the transition points of small hills. Any thoughts appreciated - I'll post photos if I buy.

The 2 wheel deck is pretty much a "lawn mower",,, it is great on smooth, level lawns.
the 4 wheel deck is much better on hills and rougher areas,,,

You can tell from my pics, I have almost no "lawn",,

You just made my decision for me. rough is what I have.

How does the mower do in tall grass (3 ft) / light brush? I understand its not a brush hog, but how far can I push it?

My Gravely is powered by a 24HP Onan,, so the comparison may not be fair,,,
If I can get the grass under the deck, it will cut it.
I have cut grass so tall, the grass will not completely cut with one pass,
even then, the discharge of the deck will not "clump",,,

I have an alternative for brush,, so the Gravely never goes there,,,
My 90" flail mower gets the brush duty,,,
