Yep, it is mostly dead oak trees and live red cedar trees, that I rip from the ground. :D

What is it about cedars? Up here we (mostly) like cedars.

Finally got my Grapple Now I need to get Hydraulic lines made up. Unloaded it from the my trailer, good thing I didn't go wider as I would not have been able to unloaded it directly on to my loader. Almost 47 inche opening.

Made here in NC too. That's one wide mouth and built tough.

Here they grow like weeds and burn like they were soaked with gasoline.

Note the cedars in the background:

Here is one that was 24 feet tall, growing right next to an oak tree.

Different kind of cedars I believe, than the ones we have in the PNW. Ours grow very tall and can yield a bunch of lumber.

I've been battling the buggers for years. Looks like neither one of us has a monopoly on them.

We worship them here!

Here ... we rip em out of the ground and create burn piles. I make a nice base of cedars and then stack dead trees on top. I get a really complete burn, with nothing left but ashes.

Does make good kindling. Dad taught that one. Larger sticks tend to char and pop.

Grappling fun for the Grappling fun picture thread.

A big byte of previously pulled cedars:

Note that the front axle is airborne trying to get the bottom tree into the grapple:

Got enough branches to pick it up:

Did a little clearing and pulled down some big vines. Some of them were a little too much for the tractor and had to bring the big boy.

Well it was dry enough to test out my Grapple W.R. Long OGB-1, 64" width (we have only had 8.25 inches of rain) getting the feel of using the grapple I was pleasantly surprised that my first attempt I got the entire pile!P1010330.JPGP1010333.JPGP1010344.JPGP1010334.JPG

Just a simple 1st Grapple pick photo.

I have not had much time to use my new tractor let alone the grapple. Making a trip to the property next week to mess around and get a few builders / contractors lined out. Will work the tractor and grapple as time allows.

It's and ArmsgrongAg Grapple

Nice rig. You might check the hydraulic hoses on your grapple. Looks like they might be a bit long and could get caught on something!

I’ve used some HD tywraps to keep my hoses out of trouble.

Yep, I saw that also. It looks like hose protector, but looks too flat to have a hose in it, so I think it is something he picked up with the grapple.
