But it is chopped off on the right side.

You may have clicked Large instead of Full Size

This is what is left shown Full Size, should be a little wider than above:

Large only works on small narrow pictures.

Cleaning up a big spruce my neighbor had to have taken down. And I was only pulling the wagon across the property on trails. Otherwise I would've posted in the improper hauling/towing thread! !

That's awesome! I love seeing the smaller tractors with grapples at work.

Yeah. My 773 was not a large frame machine but the rear window had a yellow pull, it basically pulled the cord out of the window seal so the window would just fall out. Then you could exit the machine completely towards the rear.
Really ? How are you going to get your *** out the back window ?

I didn't get a whole lot of "grappling" done, but did use the grapple a lot when reclaiming an old field the other day. It came in real handy to lay down the saplings before driving over them to mow 'em all down....

I was able to dig out this poplar stump. It was a challenge for the little Kioti but we managed.

I have a good couple hours into it. But I was also moving buckets of dirt around as I dug to level off the area as well. It was one of those things that I just decided to try while I was playing around, uh I mean working hard.

I've done the same thing. Get into something and just keep at it to see if you can. :)

Jim Timber how do you like your JD5065e? I've been looking at the 5055e.

Jim Timber how do you like your JD5065e? I've been looking at the 5055e.

It's been flawless and a joy to run.

They had an issue with the 3pt hitch valve sticking part way and overheating the hydraulic fluid - seems like it was in the very earliest years of this new generation (all they really did was revamp the hood and fenders and change the loader valve assembly). That problem came up as the only real issue with this series when I was researching them. From the way a few folks sound, we've got the tractor equivalent of a pinto and will burst into flames at any second (one guy melted his fuel tank to the point of leaking), but the problem wasn't all that wide spread and JD came out with a fix pretty quick.

Other than that, they're as bullet proof and dead simple as a guy could ask for.

Now that's speaking to the tier 2 emissions versions. The current tier 4's are a whole different can of worms. They made the hood wider to fit the afterburner under it, so it's harder to see around. I'm not sure if you can get the downward exiting exhaust. They also raised the floor on the operator station to gussie it up a bit, but that reduces leg room. It's possible the one I checked out had the seat in a different mounting position than mine is and it's set up for a short person (I'm 6' with 34" inseam) and that's why it felt smaller, but I wasn't comfortable in the seat like I am on mine and it was all the way back as far as it'd go. I've spent 11 hour days moving gravel without as much as a lunch break and it didn't wear on me in the slightest (arthritic left knee wasn't pleased, but that's my fault for wanting a true manual transmission).

If you can get into a lightly used Tier 2, I'd be all over it! You can turn up the fuel to make it a 5065 too, but don't tell the EPA that. :D

Like what I do. Find a couple projects and go for it. I've dug a few stumps out that a BX shouldn't handle but I take breaks, work somewhere else and come back to it. And loving it!

Here are a few pics from a couple weekends ago, one nice big bite with the new EA wicked grapple, and one of my son tending the fire. Good times!

That 54" Single Lid can grab quite the load of brush!
Cute helper and great memories in the making.

I agree it is a lot of fun to see his enthusiasm for being outside. And he LOVES tractors, unfortunately green is his favorite color 😢 but I am working on that
