Thanks. I saw the cutouts but didn't know there was such a brand. I found the website, seem to have a good selection. Obligatory photo attached. I am going to have to stop posting in this thread, running out of old photos

It is a Tomohawk. I bought it at a equipment auction in NH. It was the only one there with the rock bucket bottom and I wasn't going home without it after driving 90 minutes north. 1250.00 plus fees. It's not super heavy duty but adequate for my needs. I think if it was on my skidsteer, it would not hold up long. On the tractor it's fine.

Why would they put the sides on it like that? It looks like they would be in the way for virtually everything I use my grapple for.

It's a rock bucket bottom. They are made that way so the rocks don't roll off the sides. Found another grapple picture.

What I wanna know is how you floated your tractor upside down over that tree in order to grapple it. You must already be on the super hero level of tractordom.

I'd have to borrow Xfaxman's telehandler and use the extendable boom to do that

That old apple tree died and blew over in a wind and that turned out to be the best way to grapple it.

Just a little cleanup around house today. Grapple works well for backblading after root grubbing is done. Spreads dirt fairly well.

Gather cut limbs and rip a few small yaupons out.

Move to cutting spot - No burning in town. This is fun.

Cleaning up a big spruce my neighbor had to have taken down. And I was only pulling the wagon across the property on trails. Otherwise I would've posted in the improper hauling/towing thread! !
