never used either, however i have used others and i can tell you i DO NOT like the design of the wicked, why, because another manufacturer with the same design, ( neighbor has one ) i have used several times on my skid steer those fittings all in the center will get broken/damaged/leak, when you oscillate up/down you are putting those fittings in a spot for trouble, also if something comes thru the center of the grapple arms you are screwed before you know it, ask me how i know it looks like the lmc has put theirs in a more protected position and less apt to get damaged - i would definitely be welding something over them to protect them that could be removed with bolts like they put over the cylinders/fittings - just my .02
The Wicked grapple has extra bars welded across the back to keep larger stuff from protruding towards the tractor. They use swivels in the hydraulic connectors between the two cylinders so the hoses aren't being twisted. Small things that you'd see if you were looking at an actual Wicked grapple and not someone else's grapple. I've not had a problem with material grabbing the hoses.

i have used a grapple like the wicked with the swivels on the hoses and no thanks, i havent had problems with hoses getting in the way or the grabbing of the hoses, the debris falls thru and or pokes thru and breaks the fittings due to the placement of the fittings and no cover, then you rotate the bucket out/down to grab items and pick them up like a claw, the fittings are exposed and get busted
it doesnt matter what the name is im not picking on wicked i just saying its a piss poor place to put them w/out a cover
its an easy remedy with a cover plate welded or added that is removable, i swear the engineers that make things sometime dont ever get off their chair and go out and sit in a skid steer and work with the attachment or pick up anything or drive into a pile or dig a hole etc........they look at it on CAD and say Wheeeeeeeeeeee dont that looooook purdy!!!!

you sound like some sales rep advertising not wanting to buy something else or compare, bring one over here i can have those fittings snapped off in a new york minute or faster

Very nice to meet you. We'll stick to trusting Ted's grapple testing, but do appreciate the thoughtful offer.
I'm steps from the EA factory floor and have lived grapples on TBN and elsewhere for YEARS, but you can call me some sales rep if you'd like.
