No I don't have one of those and have thought about adding one but on uneven ground I would really like to see the tines. How are you able to see yours? Where do you look?

I can see the first couple of tines on each side. perhaps my tractor is narrower than yours? If I stand up or lean out I can see it pretty well

Looks like under $50 with a 7" monitor isn't difficult from a quick scan on amazon.

I like the idea of a wireless camera I could put where it was most needed - like the back of a hay wagon, or on the FEL for placing poles. I haven't committed to trying it though.

And mount it to a strong magnet so you can put almost anywhere. Battery would need to be pretty good.

That build is amazing. Did you cut all the parts with a torch or plasma? Can't believe how fast you completed this. You have great skills!

Thanks so much for the compliments.

Fast! I thought I was slow as molasses building this thing but I really enjoyed it. I think I'm going to miss going out to the shop to work on it. As a matter of fact I think I will add a small cross piece to the lid with some teeth on it for grabbing logs from the end. Just because and it gives me another chance to use the new plasma.

I cut pretty much everything with the chop saw and a torch. My torch cutting sucked at first but did get better. I cut all the 15 deg angles for the back of the tines plus the angles on the bottom, at the front of the tines, with the torch. I became really well acquainted with my 4 1/2" grinder during the build.

I ended up getting a plasma pretty much after I was done but did find some minor things to use it for, like the last braces. I should have bought it at the beginning. Oh well.

Very well done!

If you add a protective mesh, think about attaching it with u-bolts or something so it's easily replaceable.
(To the man with a welder, everything looks like a...)

And some chain hooks might be handy before you paint it.

Just curious. What did you do professionally before you retired?

Consulting engineering, specializing in land development and municipal infrastructure.

I have some chain hooks on my bucket but if I have some kicking around in the shop I will add them and thanks for the tip.

That's funny.
