I'm getting ready to buy a 4.6ton grain bin. It's 14ft high and I'm having a friend deliver me shelled corn in bulk. But he doesn't have a small auger to transfer the corn to my bin. What is the best way to do this as cost effective as possible? I will only fill it twice annually.

You might check with some local feed suppliers or grain dealers, may be able to rent an auger at least for the first time, then find a used one, for all your future uses.

Yeah, of corse you could always shorten a auger to fit your needs, it really wouldn't take much to do so.
