I'm 39 and when I was a kid, if my Mom said wait til you father gets home, we were getting the belt! Today, and throughout growing up, I love and respect both of my parents!

Kids today would tell you that getting belted is a crime or that the parent can't love the child that they spank! Hogwash!

Experts say that "time out" is a better way, then why do we have more violence today? And how can I love my parents more than anything after being spanked/belted, and why am I a law abiding citizen who pays his taxes and has two post-secondary degrees...boy did that spanking mess me up! /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif

That is the problem it used to be that they could put the fear of god into you now you get sued and the kids know it.

I do know that farming and logging are very dangerous but I have control over alot of what happens when I'm doing those jobs. A police officer walking up to a car for speeding never knows who is behind that window. You get my jest---I sure don't like cops when I get pulled for speeding but I sure do like them if I ever need them. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

You could say it was do to a little fear and good judgement.
How does that old saying goes, spare the rod and spoil the child.....mmmmm.

I believe we have enough rules into today world.
So no more new rules lets start enforcing the rules we already have and one might think twice before acting.

Its pretty sad when law enforcement,teachers,fast food workers etc... are out gun.
