Good Boxing Day (Friday) morning. Overnight Low was an unseasonal 4.8C and it's presently warmed up to 18.6C, mostly clear with a steady wind.

It SNOWED in Tasmania for Christmas Day (high elevations like Mt Wellington and Cradle Mountain). That hasn't happened for over 20 years. 😕 As I've said, it's Summer!

Christmas day with my neighbours was lovely, but a real 'sweater-on/sweater-off/sweater-on' temperature occasion. It was mostly dark, threatening, clouds (a very few wee drops) with bursts of intense sunshine (UV 10+) throughout the day. Still, we ate outside at a long table. Quite a few libations were consumed with good company.

In the evening, I realised that the UV rays had managed to give my face & head a slight burn.

I woke up to discover that the 'Mad Horse Woman' had dropped off a bottle of Shiraz as a present. Nothing planned for today.

That's about it, take care all.

Luke 2:11

Today in the town of David, a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord.

... and after that lengthy journey by foot and by donkey, and then giving birth, some boy thought the thing Mary needed most was a drum solo.

A beautiful Christmas Day today!

Nice weather if a bit cloudy. Temps in the mid 70's.

Spent the morning with the better half and a nice breakfast. Later my younger brother and oldest son joined us for dinner. Simple ham, mashed potatoes, green beans and fruit salad. All well prepared by my wife as always. It was all delicious.

Low key, relaxed and comfortable afternoon with close family. Giving thanks for all blessings.

My prayers for everyone who is in need of being lifted up, healing or any ailments and for our Nation!

Poured first cup of coffee. 29° with freezing rain. Heading to 36° with chance of continued freezing rain. I felt a couple of drops when I let Sassy out. Weather forecasters claim the skies are falling.
Had a great Christmas day. I now have enough cookies to last me until Christmas next year. Neighbors visited me and I visited them. Phone and text messages used up a bunch of time.

Good to see all the Christmas wishes.

Everyone stay safe and well.

Good Morning All.

good morning all
hope everyone's Christmas was fun
nice time at my brother's home, fun to see his teenage grandchildren grow up.
Both seemed happy with their gifts; my leftover KEF speakers to the boy and a big
painting/art set for the girl.

not many left over cookies thankfully, or I'd freeze them.
did get several containers of nuts.
headed downtown this morning to go food shopping, then will wait for the nasty weather
to start around dinner time. Mix of ice and snow, they have no idea at this point.

have a pound of Hortons columbian coffee to enjoy
is Horton's like a high class Maxwell house? Perhaps more like Starbucks. I know it's Canadian.
with new tariffs, wonder what my friend paid for this.

one must do project today is bring my two new rv batteries inside my house to keep them warm over winter.
Getting 65 pounds down the basement steps is a real challenge for me. Guess if I pick it up and set it down one step at
a time I could do it. I have a small hand truck I might try.

also may take a drive down to rv today and retrieve the rear taillight assembly I need to work on.
But then I figured I'd have to go down on Sunday anyway to brush the snow off, so smarter to just wait.

22 degrees out means the birds get fed but not much else outside.
until tomorrow afternoon when the snow needs to be cleared.
I always get up and hand shovel the walkway anyway, takes three minutes

I have a mechanical problem with the snowblower, forgot that somehow the grease zerk on main shaft
got broken off somehow, and I'm unable to use my grease gun. Have no spare zerks (had dozens on the farm)
so might need to borrow one from my favorite parts dept. They seem to come in slightly different sizes which is confusing
plus I bet the threads got boogered as it came out.

Good morning, the low is -2 and going up to 16°F. Wind E 17 mph. Snow, a couple of inches.

Drew, Burger King announced its merger with Tim Hortons on August 26, 2014, creating the new parent company Restaurant Brands International (RBI) (RBI) by the end of that year, which became effective in December 2014, making them both subsidiaries under the same Canadian-based holding company. Then they changed to the same crappy coffee that BK sold.

Happy Boxing Day all

Drew, is your nipple/zerk broke off and stuck in the 'grease applicator' delivery end? Is the nut still on the nipple/zerk?
Just grab it with your pliers , wiggle and pull. If it is broke off and still on the receiving end then you may need an EZ out, if the nut is gone.

no
zerk simply missing and threads looked dinged
thanks
might get lucky and a new one just screws in but might need a tap.
this machine has all of 20 hours on it so not like running without anything in there but
bothers me not being able to grease it.
biggest problem is I keep forgetting to do something about it...

thanks for all the snow you are sending down our way
cold enough here now that it will stick
and may your Pam stay slick

32 heading to 40.

Had a real nice Christmas day with youngest son and wife, except he beat me for the first time playing cornhole. We watched a "Christmas" movie he picked out last night...Die Hard. For a 37-year-old movie, it was good...forgot it had Snape as the bad guy. Other two sons and families coming today.
