Morning all, 27 going to 39 and sunny.
cable/network is down , working on phone hotspot.
Lot of branches and trees down. One fell around the corner and seems to be causing us issues with network, but only lost power for a few minutes, so far.
Shared road covered in branches , luckily none more than 4-5 feet long and 3-4 inches. Probably more out there. Looks like I need the blower to clear it off, very thoroughly covered with tree bits.
Went into town last night and as soon as we got out of the car the lights went out, came back on a few minutes later though and stayed on for the rest of the time they were their.
We have people coming over tonight and then out to the play house, so having power is nice.
Wife finished the baking last night and the lasagna is resting in the fridge. I have some flank steaks to cook later on the grill.
All the flashlights I use, I run through them on nightly dog walks. The aluminum 18650 ones so far have lasted years of constant use. They just don't last all that long on a battery.
We have an "occupation" tax which is up now to about $200 each for the wife and I. I think the only reason it exists is to fund the tax collectors office.
hmm, wonder why the internet is out.
I have 5 or 6 of these and rotate them out to take out the battery for charging. I use them every day now for about 4 years for dog walks and working outside. Of course if I need to light up the whole place I have an M18 light with enough batteries to last for many days.
I have a little streamlight in the Audi, works great, but gets hot real fast.
Time to go out and do some tree inventory and cleanup, small stuff sure is messy.
