It uses a plastic wrench that fits over the housing. Wrench is fairly flimsy and I have broken them before by torquing on them too much.
I modeled one and cut it out on the plasma table. Since then, I’ve made about a dozen of them for friends. The square openings fit a 1/2” drive ratchet or breaker bar.

The growth range temp-wise for Legionella bacteria is 77F to 108F. They can survive at 118F to 122F but don't actively multiply and below 68F they can survive, but are dormant.
Might consider adding a UV filter.

Coffee is cooling in cup. 39° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 50° with cloudy skies. Grocery shopping went good. Local Sam's Club changed the direction of all their center isles to a line with outer isles. Not sure this is good. But it was different. Stopped at Menards for some Sassy treats. Even dog food has gone up it price. Spent rest of the day practicing how to conserve energy. Today hope to get yesterday shop and pole barn cleaning done.

Good Tractor Morning RS,
Good to know of your successful results with fracking ... (y)
RS, yes it was a success in not only the flow rate, GPM, but also in the fact that we now had considerably more reserve with the much deeper well.
BTW, this is the Ct home ,not the Vt home. I have never had an issue with the well in Vermont, although I do sometimes get concerned with that well because it still has the original pump from 1998 when the house was built 😳. And always pray that when it decides to let go it’s not when I have our entire family there for a holiday weekend in the middle of the winter 😉.

In any event I certainly hope that your problems can get rectified as mine did RS 🙏

Good Tractor Morning Steve,

Scott I average around 450w out and mine is 110V. not sure you would gain much for the extra cost of 220V that is with 30w drive from radio
So you’re only driving the amp with 30w, if you increase that there is no appreciable gain in output from the amp ? Not that I’m complaining, 450 watts is better than quadruple the power I’m presently running 😉

Good Morning from Central Texas,
Currently 72.7 degrees and 69.9 dew point. Rain chances increasing this weekend to 100% on Saturday. Almost unheard of for the NWS to post a 100% chance. But, it is *really* needed here - maybe .1" in the last 6 weeks with temps 90-95 degrees. Cattle are having trouble finding anything to eat.
Hope all have a great day.

Good Tractor Morning,
Ct, 40 to start going to 55. Yesterday work went well, thought I would get out of work early to work on my new antenna installation in my shagbark hickory tree but only ended up getting out a half hour early. Still have not gotten the short leg of the OCF dipole positioned properly. Some of the branches up in the tree are giving me fits trying to route the antenna properly 😉

Plans for today include a long walk this morning and then more ante work to hopefully get this thing up properly. If it warms enough in the afternoon will hopefully get to my local state park and do an activation.

Looks like tomorrow we are going to NYC with our youngest son and his family. Taking the train out of Fairfield and walking the city. I’m sure we will do a nice lunch somewhere.

Hope all have a great day 🙏

32 chilly degrees going to 62. Expect to find skim ice on the birdbaths when I go out.

Wag, hope you get well soon.

RS, I'm slowly looking into house water filter systems, so like your info.

Scotty, time for a proactive pump change-out...and place your old one in a museum! 😁

Ron, walking to that view at your mailbox must put a smile on your face.

Took a zero yesterday and hung out with my wife...even Della was worn out from our hike the day before since it was a really rough trail, and her longest distance so far. Wife made her delicious chicken salad, and scooped it into pita bread that they baked at Costco...best ever.

good morning all
nippy out, a chilly 39 degrees
thanks for input on well pump.
I did the same thing in my rv, found that the bladder on the pump accumulator had lost air, pumped about 5 pounds in, and then
it worked perfectly. Doubt it will be that easy on the home unit but who knows.

heading out this morning with my rv to the local dealer who is going to give me a trade value based on inspection.
At least they were willing to look at unit before lowballing me. Honestly I doubt I will accomplish anything but bring the rv home with
an oh well but going to try one more time.

the challenge with the garage door is without an entrance man door, no way to get in to pull the release cord which releases the door.
So yes, two cures. One ditch the gfci in the receptacle in the garage like Dennis suggested (though I wonder about electrical code)
or two wire in a much larger battery and ensure the charging feature is working.

Ron, beautiful leaf picture, thank you.

Good morning TBN folks. The rain finally ended yesterday and gauge had 1.5 inches in it. Even the sun came out so I took a quick picture of it. :D Its 36 here now and predicted to warm to 42 today. Packing to head down to camp this afternoon. Here is what the mini pintle hitch looks like, as it was being built. Hope everyone has a nice weekend!

Good morning, the low is 33 and going to a high of 45°F. Wind NW 7 mph. 30% chance of rain showers or flurries.
And now it starts.

Today is a dump/town run, I may go into the basement and oil the furnace fan axles. That is gonna depend on how my knees feel when I get back from town.

Ontario, in the interest of safety has implemented a new plan for seniors...Instead of a medical (cost $60.oo from your quack), written test and road test every 5 years, Now we must do it every two years. 2x60=$120.oo every 4 years, NOT including the cost of the license and road test. Typical, the ones that have the least amount of disposable income pay the most. They (the goobermint) claims it is in the interest of road safety and yet they are still allowing these immigrant drivers from overseas to come in here and drive 18 wheelers with zero experience.

I wasn't going to post this, but now I am. We had one of those unqualified big rig drivers struck and killed a mother and her 8 year old daughter. The truck driver skipped out of the country before the cops could charge him and stayed away for 8 months. The cops caught up to him when he came back into the country, tossed him in jail and a mamby pamdy judge let him out on bail. He already proved he was a 'flight risk' and yet they let him out anyway. Sure he has an ankle monitor, but a sharp knife eliminates that.

The driver that killed 16 kids on a bus in Saskatchewan did 8 of the 16 years he was sentenced to and is now fighting extradition back to where he came from. When you emigrate to this country as I'm almost positive it is in the 'States, you work and keep your nose clean and you are welcome. Get into trouble and off you go back to where you came from. This murderer is fighting extradition claiming that his wife and kid are here. That if they go back to where ever it is they came from they will be killed. WHAT ABOUT THE 16 KIDS and BUS DRIVER HE KILLED?? Oh, he did 8 of the 16 years he was sentenced to and that clears it all up??? I DON'T THINK SO! This clown had 2 weeks of training on a fresh license hauling a flatbed B train grossing 62,500 kgs (137,800 lbs) hauling baled peatmoss, claimed he was worried about his tarps and paying attention to them and not the stop sign he blew, right in front of the bus the kids were on, that was on the through road. Yup road safety, my aunt fannies arse!

That new deal for our license is right across the country.

Rant over,

have a safe day all

good morning, 38 going to 55 colder morning

Ice maker stopped working. Ice bin would not come out to get access. Reached in as far as possible to fiddle with it through the ice bin door. Gave it up but surprising wife later reported it was making ice again.

60 year anniversary today

BEF happy birthday.

Phosphate is commonly used in boilers and steam generators to prevent scaling of boiler tubes. Makes sense it would be adapted for use in residential applications

Good morning TBN!!!
38 chilly degrees out under clear sky. Only supposed to get to mid 60.

Productive day yesterday. Worked on wiring the ignition for the buggy. Amazing how time consuming and tedious wiring from scratch can be. Got the master cyl in so mounted that. Never seen such a mess in brakes lines. Got them all blown out and cleaned up along with the calipers and fresh fluid.
Next up today will be more wiring and get some test lights to make sure of those connections.
Oil change for 4x2 should be here later so will change it's oil. Still waiting on the neutral relay and then hopefully I will get that buttoned up. I still need to do a little carb tuning done.
Always something but...

Time for a second cup
Everyone have a great and safe day

Everyone stay safe and well.

Good Morning All.
Beautiful picture... almost thought it was PA for a moment. MI sits quite a bit north of PA, on-lattitude with states that are probably already past peak color, but I'd guess the Great Lakes help keep it from being so much colder?

Our Walnut trees are already done, but the Maples are fully underway, and the oaks just getting started. My Elms are all over the place, some lost their leaves two weeks ago and others just now, I think a new pest might be culling that crop.

Balmy 72 this morning but no fog today. Up early this morning to try and get my new burn barrels prepped for fire. I have a huge pile of paper and boxes to catch up on.

Celebrated my 75th birthday yesterday. 🥳 Splurged on a new milling cutter--An 8" facing mill. It should be in next week. I just hope the ole Bridgeport can spin it. I plan to use it on some small engine heads and perhaps a 3-cyl Kubota head, if necessary.

Everyone have a splendid day. It's the week end so don't take safety for granted.
