Good Morning,
Ct, 45 to start going to 72. And although it’s still quite dark, when I went out for the paper, I could see all the stars clearly. So I believe another fine fall day is on the way.

Came home from work yesterday and finally got around to taking my Nautilus pool filter apart to wash and clean all the DE filter elements. Will let that dry out this morning and reassemble this afternoon.

Kathleen wants me to put up some Halloween decorations outside, we have a Halloween Ghost train that inflates and also lights up at night, the grand kids love it so that will be getting done today.

Maybe I missed it David, but how is your new flail mower working out ? I have thought a number of times about replacing my old Bush Hog Squealer with one of those but haven’t done it yet. And since I’m only mowing 8 acres twice a year not sure that it’s worth it.

Hoping to get some radio time in later this morning, maybe an activation at one of our local state parks 😉

Really enjoying my new Vibroplex keyer paddle. Had a very nice QSO with a fellow over in California last night. W6JL, Don Huff from Fallbrook California. He is 85 years old and builds all his own equipment. Quite an interesting individual, so I’m sending him a QSL card this morning. A QSL card is just a post card with my call sign on it with the time, date and frequency of our contact. You can read about this man on his QRZ page. Very accomplished individual.

Hope all have a great Friday 🙏

good morning all
did not sleep well last night though a very quiet campground.
Sure lives up to name, Tall Pines, glad they aren't ash trees.

headed down to Washington NC today, nice that winds have died down so going over the big bridge not so exciting. Need to remember to turn off my propane tank before going into tunnel.

if I were staying here an extra day I would definitely go down to the restaurant at end of this road, looks like a nice small marina out on the water.

50 degrees out, little electric heater did fine keeping rv warm.

having an odd problem connecting Iphone to laptop, charges ok but will not recognize the phone as an input. I tried both usb spots, same thing.

I washed up and reminded myself how nice it was to have a bidet
seat on the rv toilet. Same one I have at home.
but what is really nice, and I'm sure to jinx myself on this
is having a bathroom that doesn't leak. I keep checking but still bone dry.

took my pills, finished off the coffee, ate some chopped fruit and that's it for now.
finding it hard to eat early in morning, sometimes it's all I can do to get a yogurt and blueberries down. But that's a good breakfast in itself.

but around 10am my stomach starts to growl so today's armrest treat is a box of apricot cookies. One or two of those will kill my appetite til I get in to next campground, where I have a late lunch. Except there are some really nice rest stops on this route so I may duck into one of them. Just need to be patient and wait until after 9am to try to get through Portsmouth. and go slow in the right lane on the bridge, hopefully the winds have died down.

hard for me to sit still waiting to go... :)
should be light out soon, will go out and clean the windshield.
actually remembered the windex

My electrician friend and neighbor is telling me that those lines are buried about 18” below grade. 😒
Things may vary by state or locale, but here it seems primary power is something like 48" to 54" down, and code dictates that secondary power is at least 24" down with no max limit. By "primary" and "secondary", I'm referring to either side of your transformer that takes your 13 kV down to 240 V.

The primary power in front of my own house is in the birm that forms my front swale, where I need to do some digging to re-sculpt the swale. It just happened they had to replace these lines in my neighborhood a few years ago, so I asked the linemen how deep they were, to which he responded 54" while implying that was a bit deeper than normal due to the shape of the birm/swale.

Good morning, the low is 47 and going up to 73°F. Wind S 4 mph. 30% chance of showers.

A dump/town run for today and talk to the mechanic about the way the Kioti is starting.

I think I am back on my normal sleep schedule again. I don''t like getting up at 3 A.M. if I don't have to.

Drew and mostly, safe travels. The rest of you have a safe day.

Good morning TBN folks! Again in a balmy 60's this am and warming to 76 this afternoon. Unseasonably warm for the weekend. We transferred lots of $$$ for the camp yesterday and we are packing to head that way when dearest gets off this afternoon. Did get the trailer deck recoated yesterday so hopefully when I load the 6x6 today, it will be dry. It was a oil based deck preservative type coating I used.

44 outside right now, heading to mid 70's. Fog rolling in.

Managed to beat back the real jobs yesterday.

Unfortunate, daughter is furloughed, again. Horrible timing with keeping her job. Hoping our higher ups can work things out.

Got the pool closed yesterday. Not much accomplished after that. Took a while draining and getting that darn cover on. The cover is an issue since every year I fail to mark which end is right and what side is up. Duh.

Need to rake up the walnuts today, an abundant amount still remains on the trees. Dump and gas run in order too. Grasses look to have recovered growing well and that needs attention.

TGIF, hope all have a good start to the weekend. Be safe.
