Good Morning,
Ct, 45 to start going to 72. And although it’s still quite dark, when I went out for the paper, I could see all the stars clearly. So I believe another fine fall day is on the way.
Came home from work yesterday and finally got around to taking my Nautilus pool filter apart to wash and clean all the DE filter elements. Will let that dry out this morning and reassemble this afternoon.
Kathleen wants me to put up some Halloween decorations outside, we have a Halloween Ghost train that inflates and also lights up at night, the grand kids love it so that will be getting done today.
Maybe I missed it David, but how is your new flail mower working out ? I have thought a number of times about replacing my old Bush Hog Squealer with one of those but haven’t done it yet. And since I’m only mowing 8 acres twice a year not sure that it’s worth it.
Hoping to get some radio time in later this morning, maybe an activation at one of our local state parks
Really enjoying my new Vibroplex keyer paddle. Had a very nice QSO with a fellow over in California last night. W6JL, Don Huff from Fallbrook California. He is 85 years old and builds all his own equipment. Quite an interesting individual, so I’m sending him a QSL card this morning. A QSL card is just a post card with my call sign on it with the time, date and frequency of our contact. You can read about this man on his QRZ page. Very accomplished individual.
Hope all have a great Friday
