88.1F now with clouds on the increase. Marginal risk of severe thunderstorms.

Front lawn mowing all completed.

Topped off fuel in Cub.

Large peach tree watered and fed, 13+ gallons. That emptied the water buffalo.

Swapped out the female QD coupler on the hose on the buffalo for a male . That will allow connecting the buffalo to the female QD coupler on the garden hose without having to swap fittings on the hose.

Dropped buffalo round back for refill then connected dump cart up and gathered up Stihl pole saw and the Altec Rock Box and brought those inside along with the fertilizer from the buffalo.

Looks like thunderstorms developing off to the north and west and heading this way. Fingers crossed we get some rain.

Pups starting to get more active???
Don't know, sure made a lot of noise. Should have recorded it.

mowed just a little this morning, ran a load of Dad's wash and it dryied while I mowed. Then ran in to see him.
Then drove home, so am tired. Will probably do this weekly. The resident Dr came in to see him while I was there, I'm not impressed by him.

Was hotter in Ohio than at home, ran into very heavy fog at the top of the mountains. Almost got hit by crazy drivers twice that I saw, one was racing and trying to pass someone on the right, and then try to duck in front of the vehicle in left lane about to pass me.. I thought it would slam right into the back of me, but they braked as they finally decided they wouldn't make it.

on this day a few years back I harvested so many things in one day I had to lay one of
each out on the counter. Lots more not shown, all the early veggies like lettuces and bok choy, potatoes, etc

those okra plants would just grow taller and taller and taller, up to twelve feet until a storm knocked them down.
And then they started growing back up again. That is one tough persistent plant. And since each new flower is at top of the plant,
that's where the okra grows, and up it goes like a beanstalk. I don't happen to like the veggie or I'd grow it here. Plus it likes it hot and sunny.
In NC the food pantry clamored for all I could grow. Most folks had never seen red or orange okra, much less those little beer
barrel stubby types. Lot of fiber in okra and low calorie.
I loved to grow it, but would have to do it from seed to get the good colored okra seeds from Baker Creek seed in Missouri.

Good evening! 73˚F after a thunderstorm dropped 1/2" of rain, the only significant rain this month. Over all a pretty good day started out with a 2 mile walk and then I left the Apple Watch going and I clocked in another 2 miles while I mowed, weed eater, edged, and blew the yard. Just finished my 1000ft swim before the first lightening, water temp was 89˚, now. 88˚.

Had lemon rosemary hamburgers for dinner and nada moo vanilla ice cream for desert with a caramel topping made from sweet potatoes and a bit of coconut sugar. Surprisingly it taste very good, almost like butterscotch and has the perfect caramel color.

Good Morning thread quote for the day by Richard Osman, author of "The Thursday Murder Club":

"Many years ago everybody here would wake early because there was so much to do and only so many hours in the day. Now they wake early because there is so much to do and only so many days left."

Thanks for. showing your harvest.
We grew Okra when the kids grew up. Beautiful flower on top
Sautéed did not work and made them stringy, slimy
However breading and frying turned out very delicious

Good (Wednesday) morning. Overnight Low of 0.2C and it's presently 15.0C, partly cloudy with a breeze.

A quiet day yesterday spent with my friends.
we really, really do not bounce well any more.
... and that happened to me last evening as I missed a bottom step and, fortunately, landed on a fairly thick carpet. I received an annoying rug-burn on my right knee & some bruising on my right forearm. It could've been a lot worse.

It's 'into town' day for groceries. Yay. Also the last day for my friends as they'll head off early tomorrow morning.

That's about it, take care all.
