Coffee has finished brewing. 49° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 81° with sunny skies. Dr. appointment went good. Got another shot in left ankle. Feels good this morning. But did not sleep good. Pond got cleaned up. Did some more conserve energy on back porch. Need to cut grass in front yard today. Then some putter jobs to fill day in.

Good Morning ,
Paul, nice job on the van cleaning 😉

Ken, nice pictures, that old Bronco is a classic, not a fan of yellow but it looks right on that vehicle.

FWT, beautiful picture of your almost 1 yo son 🙏

Gods Morning Buppies 🙏

Good Morning,
Ct, 58 to start going to 80 with low humidity, hooray 😉

Uneventful trip back to Ct yesterday, but seemed to be kind of tired after driving 3 1/2 hours. When I got home after unloading the car I got on the radio and immediately scored a contact with England 😃 That makes 11 countries so far I believe.

We have grand children later to day . I’m sure they will want to go swimming in Opa and Nana’s cement pond 😉

Mostly, nice pics as always.

My Ct taxes will be do shortly so need to cut a check to the town for the privilege of living in my completely paid off home 😉

Need to do some grass cutting and trimming on the property today.

Hope all have a wonderful day 🙏

good morning all
looks like a lovely summer day, cooler and high in the 80's, just about perfect.

yesterday was an annoying bust, doc said have to see you before ordering scan of possible hernia.
He orders an ultrasound. I spend half an hour online trying to make appt with local hospital, who was just bought
out by Penn, and their systems are a mess. No one answers the phone and when they say leave a message so someone can
call you back (because we value your time SO much...) and then no message taken. It was annoying enough I called exec branch
of hospital and complained. Got a nice lady who called me back, and she said she could not get through either. Then higher up lady called, she
had access to scheduling and she made appt for this afternoon for me. What a hassle, but not finished yet.
then I get a call from primary doc saying insurance company denied the scan, mumbled something about coming back to get a CT scan instead.
Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
so I have to cancel today's appt and will call doc back and find a solution.
Last fall I went to the competing hospital chain, Grand View, because of this same problem.

so...guess this means lawn will get mowed on a nice day since I'm not tied up with appts.
wish I could ignore this but it hurts to walk any distance. Never had a hernia, know it's pretty common.

you folks in Texas be careful of the heat.
Don what's the pool temp today?

   / Good morning!!!! #209,185
Good morning! Pool temp is 81˚ sunrise temp is 77˚ cloudy heading to the mid 90s. A long walk this morning (3 miles) then a swim this afternoon. Maybe I can start putting a coat of varnish on the wooden outside table and 4 chairs, I also need to change out the AC house filters today, and get some salt for the water softener.

I thought the deer did not like watermelon vines so I have not been spraying them. Last night they stripped the leaves from the vines but left the golf ball sized watermelon.

need to buy a ladder.
was drooling over Popgadget's variety of nice ladders, I used to have most of the same, but
no tall stuff any more. But I need to get to top of rv, have to change out some light fixtures.
A simple 10 foot aluminum ladder, well padded, would be fine.
two challenges for me.
has to be lightweight yet support my 240
has to fit in my suv. So maybe something in two parts.
But not those fold up ones; they seem to all be super heavy..

ultimately need two 10 foot stepladders, which no one has and a 10 foot scaffolding plank
between them. Seems that's the only way to get the fiberglass brow on my rv waxed properly.
It looked nice for two weeks and now...shows it needs full compounding first, which we didn't do.
only way to properly do it is with scaffolding. That's how they did it when I originally bought the rv.
Maybe I'll invest in a ten foot stepladder. A straight ladder would actually be best for the rear lighting fix.
I have the new light fixtures, just have to get up there to put them in.
safely

going to call local Ace hardware and see what they have in stock. Likely have to go to Home Depot for better selection.

this is where not having a pickup any more is restricting, trying to get this big stuff home.
I simply cannot wait for my nephew's 14 yo son to get his license. He has already offered to run all the errands I want,
more seat time for him. I remember the days, get behind the wheel and get off the farm.

phlox and zinnias growing up in kitchen window view, very pretty yellow bird comes to visit, too heavy for tiny flowers and they
bend over. I tried to get a pic but I spooked the bird since it can see into kitchen.

Good morning, the low is 57 and going to a high of 75°F. No wind. Sunny!

No grass cutting today. No wind means the mosquitoes and deer flys will be ravenous. The new freshly seeded grass is only about an inch high and the rest is about 5", so I can procrastinate for another week or so. :)

Ecoflow wouldn't let me register for the warrantee the other day so I wrote them and complained. Basically told them that I really didn't care and would never buy another ecoflow product again, that they discriminated against Canadians. So they gave me a link to another website to register, I will give that a shot today.

Back to youtube for a bit.

Have a safe day all

Good Morning
66°, dew point 55°, bright sun, gonna be a nice day.

Yesterday’s major accomplishment was to get the mowing done, both with the Lazer and the Progressive. Everything but the pastures is done. That might happen today.

IMG_6975.jpg

Didn’t spend much time inside, so there is still stuff to organize and put away, but I did a a small job on the Bridgeport for a neighbor, making a part for his mower.
A little frustrating, I measured the size it needed to be with a micrometer, and he insisted that couldn’t be right. So I asked what size he wanted me to make it, and because it was bigger, I indulged him. I left the fixturing in place as well as the DRO settings, so when he came back in I could make it the correct size.
When he came back, he was still saying that he couldn’t understand that it didn’t fit……
So I put it back in the machine and cut it to size.

Today is breakfast with the professor, and then the old guys at the model field, and then maybe mow the pastures

Morning all, 64 going up to 81 and sunny.

Did not get much done yesterday, busy at day job.

Keep seeing the young bucks in the yard, one is now 4 points, the others still at two.
Rabbits everywhere, but did see a cat on the door cam last night, so ....

Drew,
Why the first thing I bought for the Q7 was the rails for the roof rack, easily hold any ladder.

The bug balls (two of them with tanglefoot) keep the deer and horse fly population away from the pool area. They work amazingly well, just a mess to put the sticky coating on.
They are covered with flies. We used to get attacked constantly in the pool, now it's rare to even see one. Basically just a thick black blow up ball with a thick attachment point on top.

Back to 9 hours on the phone to roll out some more stuff.

Be well,

Deer are getting so bad they even snack on the asian pine and this japanese black pine. This pine is still growing well though and has added quite a few feet in the last few years.
The sticks are to stop the bucks from using it as a scratching post. They rubbed one of my white pines so bad they killed it.
