Good Morning,
Ct, 74 to start going to 95 or so with heavy humidity. Went for a 6 am walk and it was still rough even at that time 😉

Lots of little jobs like Ken, a few for Kathleen and some are around the pool and a few for myself.

AC and a cab sounds ultra nice in this weather.

Ken, sorry to hear about your son’s accident. Glad all are ok 🙏

Hope all have a good day and stay cool 🙏

75F clear sky upper 90" for high :censored:, 🤞 5+ mph wind keep the air stir.
Haven't notice it yet day light starting to get shorter.

Outside chores done E muffin time.
Call the part store yesterday said I'll be no show today,Mrs. made sense about working 100 degrees heat in my condition.
Plans for today...little AM puttering outside than stay low and cool until evening.

Enjoy your day all.

Morning all, 84 and only going to 99, not 100 like they forecast
Got the new bumper on the X360.
Later went to pull weeds and trim the tomato plants.
It was so hot, I just went back in to cool off.

Welcome back Don, glad you had such a great cruise experience, and happy 50th anniversary!

Now, one of those involved in accident has file an injury report. So more paperwork for insurance.

Be well,

This bumper should protect the front end pretty well. Though I don't remember hitting anything on my other mowers. So much plastic and so expensive, so worth the $50 and made in USA.

Frits, hope your wife feels better fast. Sorry she goes through this.

got domestic and cleaned up the house, ran wash, folded laundry, then went out
and put water in rv's water tank. Cranked on the gen, the a/c, and the water pump
and cleaned up bathroom and kitchen area while a/c kept me comfortable. Good to run gen
under load anyway. Turned on propane heat on new water heater to test, yup, got hot within a few minutes.
other than getting rv inspected next week, seems to be up to date. Still waiting on my young friend's help with waxing
rv.

94 and going up

Last night after dark, when cooler, went to barn and Dug out the drip irrigation system I bought years ago, and never used. this morning set the parts out, cut a small section of header tube, added one short length of drip tube, and assembled and put water too it. some little leaks. I never ordered any drips so got some of those on order now

first piece is filter and pressure regulator, but still shows 23 psi which seems high.

92 heading to 100...hit 101.5 yesterday.

Congratulations to Don and wife for 50 years of marriage! Nice way to celebrate.

Ken, smart bumper.

Worked on cleaning out the washer drain pipe again yesterday. Found a clean out to bypass the trap and fed all 25 feet of my snake cable 3 times. Hoping for better results this time.

Took Della for a hike and swim before 9am this morning and it was already 88F. We had the park trail to ourselves.

Time to go mow a while.

Morning, well early afternoon;
Got outside for a bit this morning early, took a cup of coffee with. Drank that while cutting and grinding the pivot pin holder off the mangled tubing this morning. That got about 1/2 to 2/3rd's of the lawn mowed before the heat ran me inside.
Nice cool drinks, then shower and eat a bit of lunch and now to read through some of todays posts.
a balmy 97F with a heat index of 111F
Got a strip steak and some ground beef to thaw for supper tonight.

All stay safe and as cool as possible

Nearby LWS on WU is reporting it's already 96F @ 11:45.

Forecast only calling for a high of 93F ...

Got 6 squash/pumpkins moved from the greenhouse to the shelves out back and then watered all the plants on shelves first thing yesterday. Have more to do on that today.

Grabbed the bottom pole from the umbrella after marking the hole location while I was down there and brought it up with me. Got bolt hole drilled and even found an appropriate bolt (plus stainless flat washers, nut, and lock washer) in a tray of old fasteners slated to go up to the shop.

Collected up recyclables and trash and loaded those in the dump cart.

Refilled hopper feeder plus scattered some seed for the ground feeders.

Did some bill paying/scheduling and banking. More of that on tap for today.

Working on cleaning off kitchen table.

Made up some humming bird juice and took down suet feeder outside kitchen window and replaced it with hummingbird feeder.

Left man door from kitchen to garage open most of yesterday, made a huge difference ... keeping the humidity out down and temps in the mid-80's.

Also discovered 2 of the HVAC vents into the kitchen were shut ... which probably accounts for it seeming warm in there.

Tested out Makita Orbital sander on boards for raised beds. Too slow ... will wait until it cools off enough to take it outside and use the belt sander.

Located a brush I could use as a scrub brush (it was stiff snow brush for vehicles) and got to work on giving the heated birdbath a thorough clean up using bleach, letting it soak for hours. That removed most of the discoloration ... cleaned up pretty well. Will give it the once over later and see if it needs any further work.

Kept seeing clouds and was waiting for a little shade but that never happened so I finally threw on a shirt and hat and ran the trash and recyclables up to the cans at the road.

Later once the sun got low enough I loaded up the Altec Rock Box in the dump cart and headed around back and connected the hose to the Water Buffalo and started it filling.

On the way back found what was left of the adult groundhog that I took a shot at the other day before we went out to eat. Probably will avoid that area for awhile until the scavengers finish with him.

Reassembled the umbrella, putting the bottom pole (now with bolt hole) back on. Got it bolted to the base as well.

Also started watering and fertilizing plants with that 17-18-28 fertilizer in garden. Got the cukes, summer/winter squash, Sunny Boy and Trip L Crop tomatoes all done. Still have to feed the Crimson Cushions.

Did further trimming on lower leaves of all tomato plants.

All tomato plants now have blossoms. Some of the indeterminate tomatoes have gotten tall enough that I removed the cages and started weaving them up through the straight trellis.

Hooked up the soaker hose for the straight trellis and turned it on, sounds like it might have a significant leak about 10' in ... :(

Unfortunately, that hose is now covered with mulch ... so it will have to be removed ... at least at the point where it sounds like the leak is.

Just got the plants on the back shelves watered ... moved the largest ones down to the second shelf into some shade.

Was wrong about which pumpkins were the largest ... it was 3 Small Sugars ... not Caspers.

Will try to get the short T posts primed and painted once I have some minimal amount of shade on the east side of the garage.

Not sure what else beyond that.

Do need to change the water on the sweet potato slips ... which seems like a good inside project.

Beyond that just see what else comes up.

Hope everyone is having a decent Tuesday.
