got car washed, new second key for car, got approval to take Lexus back to seller's body shop
to do a better job of affixing front bumper plastic. It popped out after a good bounce on that mountain trail.
need a clip, or something.
also made appt at Lexus on thursday to fix the 4wd Lo problem with car. Covered under warranty and a free loaner so
no hassle. Wish I had caught that when I bought the car.

lovely day out though my nose is already itching.
need to go organize the garage so I can see if car fits in.

ordered an update for car nav, 299 for them to do it, I don't see a usb card so perhaps internal.
showed 2017 on maps, that's kinda old. I like the nav system, simple to use, though
I haven't tried voice commands. I did get a notice from Sirius saying they had switched my account to new car,
didn't work as of this morning. Probably needs an overnight but ? will check it in morning.

I'm off early to the dermatologist, lots of job security for them, I already know of three problem spots, and then
will hopefully meet friend with his MB work van and pick up my pergola from Lowes. 8 foot box, too big for my car.

FWT, the last one I got was with my 20 ga with skeet shot, not ideal but he is gone. You are right, no tunnels under my house

Dug 2 post holes for lower deck, and filled 1 with concrete, other partly full, stubbed up some rebar. ran out of concrete mix, got more from Lowes tonight. Took awhile to dig PHD out of barn, and assemble it. I took it to ohio once in pieces and never put it back together.
the 3rd hole is close to my electric lines coming into the house, so will dig that by hand. I should be far enough away, based on the last time I had miss utility mark it, but better safe than electricuted.
My brother was mowing at the farm today. Dad had to come out and tell him how.......... He wanted him to mow behind the house instead of the barn fields... He also mowed the yard.
Need to mow my yard tomorrow before more rain comes.

50F and clear @ 22:00, calling for a low of 43F overnight.

Got a couple of tomato seedlings transplanted before deciding that the soil plugs they are in need to dry out further (too heavy to lift without breaking roots) Might be ready by late tomorrow. If not then Wednesday.

Spent the afternoon planting brassicas instead. Got all the "Green Comet" broccoli, "Early" and "Red Acre" cabbage planted ... along with about half of the cauliflower.

So about 10 cauliflower and 3 kohlrabi left to go. The cauliflower will fill out those 2 rows, kohlrabi will have to go somewhere else.

Put up more masonry ladders for hoops and got it all covered with insect netting too.

There were 2 volunteer cabbages that somehow managed to over-winter and come back, sprouting new leaves on the old stems..

Going to have to check into that more ... probably if they are mulched really well (which they weren't this past winter) more of them might make it. Will be interesting to see if they do anything.

Found out the roof coating is probably going to need at least a couple of good warm days with sun to dry out and really firm up.

Scored a 199K Btu Ruud tankless water heater with all the valving/piping from a friend today. Controller board has issues, going to see if it's something easy like a cap. Hopefully whatever smd component it is, is readily available.

Time for a snack, then the rack.

Good evening all. 73ºF for the start, overcast sky, windy. Very windy, overcast with periods of thunderstorms, and high temp was 85ºF, HI 95ºF. Made coffee to start day, worked on ICVFD golf fund raiser today, did sneak a nap in. No bike ride time.
Kyle hope you can get the gremlins in the lights under control. Hope you can keep the gearbox on cutter going for a while. Hope you can get the 6 foot cutter going. Glad the 4310 has been reliable.

had to turn heat back on, a surprising 46 out now, hope all my veggies are ok
another busy day, going to be really worked over this morning by dermatologist.
red area on upper lip, boy that's going to sting when the freezer gets there...plus
something in my armpit and one on my back I can't see. Lady doc is very good.
then off to meet friend at Lowes to pick up pergola kit for back yard.

Good morning, the low is 31 and going to a high of 61°F. Wind N 13 gusting to 20 mph. Sunny.

I am going to take the Dodge back to the shop today. The steering wasn't pulling to the left when it had the snow tires on, but it is now (with the summers) and had been when I pulled it out of the shop in Sundridge. When I jump on the brakes it pulls to the right. Didn't do that either with the snows on.
I only has 1240 miles on it since the last brake job last spring.

So there is my day planned out. Can't do anything else, the tractor is in the shop and it is too windy to chop trees.

mostly, all maple syrup has the same sugar content. The flavour of the dark stuff gets smoother the older it is as long as you keep it in a cool dark place unopened.
You can make your own dark if you boil amber, but be careful. You have to be constantly stirring it and skim the foam off. You need to make the 'boil' slow. No rolling boil. The foam is also edible. If you boil it too long you will make taffy. I use a wooden spoon when I reboil syrup.

one end will be screwed into 6x6 already in ground.Other end in gravel driveway.
