Our big adventure starts today. Already checked in for HNL fight late this afternoon and flight to London this evening, but first I have a VA assessment.

My pork ribs came out excellent, meaty and fall off the bone delicious.

Lou, hope you have quick recovery from surgery. When I had my gallbladder out 10 years ago. I could have gone to work the next day. Except for Dr’s orders and already being retired.

interesting that local John Deere dealer said their current batch of Honda powered lawn mowers was the last,
there would be no more. Apparently Honda announced two years ago they were getting out, I guess like
Subaru. So the last of the inventory is being sold off.
Honda did come out recently with a new V8 outboard, which was a plus, and apparently may continue to make one
commercial engine. Would be a shame to discontinue the GX-390

on this day 8 years ago I went over to see my drunk neighbor, who was nowhere to be found, after I had once again cut
the overgrown lawn out by the road for him.
there was all this old farm equipment, wheels, bits and pieces of broken machinery
almost everywhere
could only mow in certain places
this was a nice finishing mower and I wasn't going to hit an old tire with it.

That inch of snow I said I was going to plow turned into 3" of heavy wet snow. Good for making snow balls and snow forts. Got everybody plowed out and cut this place down some more. Shoved the banks in the driveway back some. Spread ashes in front of Dodge garage. I may go back out tomorrow and scrape some more off this place and throw some more ashes around.

I called my dispatcher this morning and he told me that the spring meetings are not mandatory for me. Being number one does have its' perks, being the most senior tanker driver not only in age but also in years of service. The next closest to me has only 26 years of service.

Long weekend no sleep. Holly is in Catawba being evaluated. Presently she is at Roanoke Memorial getting finger and joint fixed. It was broken in her fighting with deputy at Franklin Memorial getting handcuff. She has 10.2 A1C urinary tract infection, high blood pressure. When she gets back to Catawba they will do further tests for dementia. She fuses pills so everything by shot. Long road to go but now we are getting somewhere.

Long weekend no sleep. Holly is in Catawba being evaluated. Presently she is at Roanoke Memorial getting finger and joint fixed. It was broken in her fighting with deputy at Franklin Memorial getting handcuff. She has 10.2 A1C urinary tract infection, high blood pressure. When she gets back to Catawba they will do further tests for dementia. She fuses pills so everything by shot. Long road to go but now we are getting somewhere.

back started to hurt and time to come in, yup a little over 4000 steps.
that's about the size of my gas tank these days, or maybe my back tank.
going to go to a different garden center tomorrow for some more raised bed soil.
Stuff today was 30 bucks for 2 cubic feet, fine on top but I want something cheaper for underneath.
so despite my avoiding big box stores like the plague will likely head off to Walmart tomorrow.
they will likely have bags of top soil and grass seed as cheap as anyone for my stump repairs, plus I need
more for the veggie gardens.

used my new garden shed potting bench to deliver
a new child into the world.
My very productive dollar plant has produced more heirs, and to continue my
theme pots, this one will go forward with Mr Owl.
The mom plant in the rear has now created four children and I see two more tiny ones in there.

Bubbies, I am glad you are getting the help needed for Holly. Sorry to hear about the finger injury and medical issue but hopefully they can get it under control and get her back to being evaluated and come up with a plan.
Committing someone for evaluation is never easy but it is the right thing to do
We have done it several times in the past with some of the kids including having the Sheriff transport etc and I know how it must feel for you to go through with this.
Hang in there and try to get some sleep and rest

Afternoon all!
Currently sunny and 52. Gorgeous outside!
Got quite a bit of things picked up and restocked in the shop. Decided to unhook the well and move it out of the way. We don't use it anyway so why keep working around it! I can slide it back and hook it up in less than 10 minutes.
Made another pet urn and a small dish. Working on more. As always!
Cookies came out great. Now just need to wait till Thursday. Brother in law is coming in Wednesday afternoon and will leave on Friday. Should be a good visit!

Yes I agree Drew, I have the GX-390 on my generator! It has been an excellent engine other than the screw that holds on the fuel bowl rotting on me ! Usually quite dependable!
