Good (Saturday) morning. Overnight Low of 11.9C and it's presently 25.6C, mostly overcast & calm.

Well, I'm back from my quick visit to my Mate in Brisbane and a wonderful "PostModern Jukebox" concert... As a side note; GEES! Concert T-shirts are bloody expensive!

Just in case any of my TBN Mates would like to see these fine musicians, they have recently announced their North America tour dates/locations.

I don't know what I'll get up to today... the house lawn could do with a mow.

Unfortunately, for most bands, merch is the only way they can make money now. Since everything switched to streaming, it only pays about 0.33¢/stream, so they make little money that way. And to make that even worse, Spotify started last year a new policy of not paying royalties on songs with under 1000 streams in a year. That money now instead gets divided and distributed to other artists.

Good evening all. 19ºF for the start overcast, light breeze. Light wind, overcast sky and high temp was 33ºF. Made coffee to start day. cleaned ashes, stocked fire, Mobile dealer service performed recall reprograming, started on taxes, still missing some documents. Worked on map upgrade, found out the map dealer had on shelf was not much newer and wrong format for my truck(factory build records in error). They order new map on correct format(USB thumb drive) and cost $80, much better than price quoted on sd card. Got lunch and groceries while in town, should get new map in a week then self install. Did get nap and ride in, Stepdaughter dropped of beef stew and chili yesterday will I was napping. I had the beef stew tonight was very good.

Drinking first cup of hot coffee. 10° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 29° with mix of sun and clouds. Grocery shopping went good yesterday. Came home and put pintle hitch together and on tractor. Did get not a chance to check it out. It came out like I had visioned with my homemade hitch. But a lot less work. Need to restock my bird feeder supply today. Used up my first tub of feed. That's a little over 200 lbs. Plus over 30 suet cakes. The big seed cakes are about 10.

Good Morning from Central Texas,
Nearly 5am, 33.3 degrees / 25.6 Dew point. Forecast chance of freezing rain then showers with a high of 39.

The USAF is reorganizing (beginning this year) into new system of Combat Wings, Air Base Wings, and Institutional Wings. This will be a phased approach taking at least a year to evolve.

The 24 Combat Wings (16 active, 8 reserve) will be the "units of action" for operational capabilities.

The Air Base Wings will support the Combat Wings with platform readiness and manage the installation operations.

The Institutional Wings will continue to provide essential support for the Air Force’s organize, train, and equip requirements, ensuring the long-term sustainability and development of the force.

The goal is to move away from the current system where Airmen are pulled from dozens of different units to fill out one expeditionary wing, only meeting and working together once they arrive in theater.

!8 this morning but supposed to get to 50 Under mostly sun. Warmth is coming. The whole weeks forecast is supposed to get to mid and upper 60s. I'm ready!!
Ran errands yesterday. Went to HF to get air over hydraulic jack for my press. They didn't have it so went to the Hickory store ( about 10 miles more) and they did. Ran a few other errands.
Stopped at a guys house at the end of the road. He has a lot of scrap in his yard. I had talked to him before. I got a piece of app 3' x 4' piece of plate from him Also some angle iron pieces and a nice piece of stretched steel for my torch cart project. We were both happy when I left.
Came home and started the mods to make the jack work but ran out of time in the day. I'll work on it some more today.
Still waiting on tank for the bridge but I'm not pushing much. It will happen in it's own time

Time for a second cup.

One grandson is coming over at 8:30 this morning and I believe we are bringing him to basketball clinic for kids up to 5 yo at 10:00 ! Later this afternoon we are getting together with our friends across the street and going to a brewery for a beer and then out to dinner ! They are quite a bit younger than us , actually close to our kids age but great friends!

Hope to get a multi mile walk in before the basketball ball clinic ! Looking forward to those warmer temps they keep talking about !

No sir, they can file bills that have already been drafted for a while longer. Some get drafted then not filed. Yes, thank you, the entire week went very well. And if any weight loss is going to happen I hope it does soon. Have a great weekend mostly!
