Good morning! 58˚F heading to 70 with S wind and cloudy. Need to prepare the plants for the big freeze next week. after 70s tomorrow we will hit the 20s all week starting Monday with the highs in the mid 40s.

27 outside this AM, heading to lower 30's and that is about it. The talked about storm is upon us. The winds are pretty strong right now. Yesterday a few snow showers moved through. Sunny and dry, cloudy and snow, sunny and dry, cloudy and hail... left just a trace of snow on the ground before it stopped.

Looks like today will be prep work for the next few days, gasoline, generators and firewood up to the houses.

Worked on bringing up firewood, cleaning filters, house hold stuff, helping wife

A light snow yesterday, swept it off walks

Ct, 22 to start going to 32 ! Looks to be a cold day ,so I’m hopeful that I can do the same thing Dennis did getting the Christmas lights down before it gets really cold ! And as of right now there is no snow to deal with on the ground that will make the job easier!

I was pretty busy in work yesterday, didn’t get back to the shop until 5 ! I did the last delivery at 3:15 but my boss wanted me to get some more oil on the truck in anticipation of a cold weekend! The traffic in New Haven was terrible so getting in there and out of there was a problem!

Other than taking down some lights o don’t have a lot planned!

Don thanks for the explanation on that property! I remember seeing a John Deere in your garage but I guess you sold that ! Sorry !

While in Vermont I bought a nice set of wood working rasps from Garret Wade that I will eventually use when I get to shaping the rockers, and I also bought a dowel sizing jig , they arrived yesterday!

Good Morning. Temps here in Central Texas in the 60's with 72 forecast. Intend to get several outdoor things done for the Sunday evening cold front, which is expected in the upper 20's. I know that's not cold for some of you ( I used to live in N. Ohio) but cold for us.

Good morning TBN!!

24 this morning and we probably won't see 40 today. And with the steady wind it will be much colder.
Not too much yesterday. Went to DIL ultrasound office to be a guinea pig. She is getting Drs on board for referrals and needed to send some of the info they would need to evaluate. She is such a go getter. Ultrasound tech, for herself and travels for hospitals, realtor and talented artist. And she instilled the ethic in my grandson. He too is a realtor and delivers oxygen tanks to vets. As you can tell I am quite proud of them. And they are the only relatives that live around us.
Bright side is everything looks real good. Hard to believe on account of what this 60+ body and organs have been through. Whoever said "Your body is a temple" never met me!!
Not much on the agenda today because of the cold. Probably get some diesel for the torpedo and of course the endless dog entertaining.
Off to whatever!

Morning all, 31, up to 32 and then downward. had a very light snow last night,
Wind is back.
Cleaning up the house for guests arriving today, dog is doing her part by shedding everywhere

Put more weight on one of the Ash slabs to slowly straighten it. Amazing how 2 cuts from the same trunk, same thickness will dry differently.

Be working on my driveway gate today. It is a double entry at the top with a shared center post. That post is shared and needs to be replaced. Need to cut concrete, dig out and concrete in the replacement. Will try for pics.

A good bye party this evening for some friends of20 years leaving the island.
