Good morning!!!!

Good evening
25° and descending.
Today started with a service call on a heat pump for my pal the mechanical contractor. He is swamped with this cold spell. We did meet up for lunch at Mission BBQ though.

I made it home in time to take care of a few chores before the band showed up for the rehearsal that was canceled last night. I still had a get together here with some guys that are local (and good musicians).

Afterwards I had to deal with a recalictrant hard drive from my recorder. It captures 24 track of audio in a proprietery format on to removable hard drives. I can pull them out of the recorder and transfer them to a FAT32 drive as .wav files, with special software that reads the drive and does the conversion. The issue was a drive that would hang up before completing the transfer. I won in the end.

Came back to the Old Folks Home to connect the BluRay player that FedEx left for me while we were playing. Wife came home from Farmers Market to Diana Krall on the big screen, we watched Roy Orbison in Black and White Night after dinner.

I had hopes of cutting some parts on the plasma table and doing some welding, but tomorrow’s another day.

23°F and cloudy this morning, got up to only 30° today. Forecast is calling for the end of times to start around 3am with rain/freezing rain/sleet/snow/locusts of 1-3-or-maybe-12+ inches predicted. Radar shows the snow part at least will be here in about an hour or so.
Let "Snowmageddon2025" commence. :ROFLMAO:

Wife and I knocked a few outside tasks off the list this morning. Finally got the kayaks off the trailer and put away, as that season is clearly over for awhile. Emptied the outside fountains and stored them for the Winter. Dragged the dingy out of the pond before it freezes this coming week (highs only in the 20s for the foreseeable future).

Got a few inside things done as well, and still found time for a nice nap.

Hope everyone is well.

Good evening, gents.

It is only getting down to zero tonight. Snowing right now. I will be plowing tomorrow, probably go out about noonish. it being Sunday and all, I don't want to bother people before at least noon. I have the same attitude when I cut the grass in Summer.

I cannot blame the cold weather on the Mexicans. lol

I have cat hair on everything both upstairs and in the basement. 3 cats and one dog.

The cold weather that Texas is going to get actually comes from Alaska. Mine in Ontario comes from the Northwest Territories. Our worst (most accumulation) snow comes from either Alberta or Colorado. Both called 'clippers' The worst is when they both arrive at the same time. The worst one we've had here in 30 years dumped 18" overnight. I had to go out first thing in the morning, so fired up the Wrangler, warmed it up good, stuffed it into 4 wd and went for it. Out to the road, turned around and back in to the house and picked up my two passengers and carried on. [No tractor then.] Jeep was lifted 2" with Pro-Comp 30x9.5x15" tires.

I would take more of your snow any day. We are having a miserable week with no snow but cold high winds (40mph). I can take snow and cold, but cold and windy will drive me indoors for the day.

Cold air started in China Japan having record snows. Cold will have several waves possible more snow next weekend not sure where yet but still showing up.

We will get 2 to 4 then 1/2 in of ice. Got to store today that’s about it.

Prayers for all our Country

I have a theory...When you are enduring -40°F. It has to get warmer to snow. 0+F is warm after -40F.

Drinking hot cup of coffee. 11° clear skies this morning. Heading to 23° with cloudy skies. Got christmas tree down and stored away in pole barn. Then cleaned up front porch. Spent some play time with Sassy. Chasing each other from living room to kitchen. Snow is to deep for her to do our normal walks out to back of my place. Need to do cook a batch of Spaghetti for the freezer today.

Prayers and best wishes for everyone.

Good Morning All.

good morning all
22 out now going to 33 today
good shopping trip to TSC yesterday, used up my xmas gift certificate mostly on bird feeders.
next year going to ask anyone considering giving me a gift certificate to choose Harbor Freight instead.
I find convenience and not value at Tractor Supply.

Ron, have fun playing with Sassy.
Air sure was cold today. I came out of store yesterday and wind was howling and wind chill so bad my eyeballs
actually started to hurt.

I didn't realize we had another member from Edgewood NM, JYoutz, send some good vibes to LS/Ted and his wife please.
I bet it's mighty cold at night in the desert as soon as sun goes down.

PJ, don't send any locusts this way please. I have enough bugs in my lawn.
Which reminds me I need to buy a hundred pounds of slug killer and apply it all over back lawn.
If I pick up the turf, it pulls up like a bad hairpiece. Seems like the roots have been eaten, which the grubs do.
And then other critters come along to eat the grubs and rip up the crappy lawn.
time for some chemicals. Think I'm going to weed and feed also.
That should rack up some steps for me with my push seeder.
I could only find little bags of grub killer last year, need to start researching big box stores.

14 going to 40, then snow is supposed to start tonight...6 to 11 inches total depending on who you believe...maybe ice, too Haven't had a good snow in a while, so we're looking forward to some.

So, have some outside chores to do before it gets here, and need to roast and grind coffee in case we lose power, since I'm getting low. Wife's gonna make a big pot of chili. She joined the crowds at the grocery store yesterday.

Took Della for a long hike and even at 35F she still jumped in the river for a swim yesterday.

Ron, spaghetti sounds good. We had that last night, and enough for leftovers today.
