I am among those that miss a volume knob in the car.
The Prius has a dedicated pair of buttons to change volume up or down, they are duplicated on the steering wheel as well. All other audio functions as well as environmental controls are pages on the 12” touch screen.
If I need an immediate reduction in volume, I go for the power button. A sledgehammer approach, but it works.

Mike, funny you should mention that, when I’m driving my wife’s Honda CRV there are radio controls on the left side of the steering wheel. If I’m not careful I hit them with my hand and change her station !

Lou, when I installed the James Hardie siding on the front side of the barn, I had Curtis Lumber out of Granville deliver it. They came out with a flatbed and we had to hand carry it into the barn 2 or 3 pieces at a time, yep it’s very fragile until nailed up to the building!

Yes this is out Curtis Lumber also I've got two very close stores but this came out of the Ballston Spa store.
We used to have a very good local lumber and hardware store but the owners were getting up in age and ended up selling out to Curtis lumber. I've been know to go up to Whitehall and Macleods lumber for larger orders.
Curtis lumber's lumber quality is no better then Lowes or Home Depot. But it's 45 minutes each way or 15 minutes. I like the James Hardie products but damn they are proud of them and it is amazingly fragile till installed. Usually they bring there 3 wheel all terrain fork truck with them but not today, I had called them not to attempt the driveway even with the little forklift. Enough ice and packed snow that it might have been a runaway leaving and I didn't want that.

Lou, I used MaCleods when I put the family room addition on about 10 years ago ! They were good people to deal with ! The owner Bart even came down and delivered himself at times ! For little stuff I run to Curtis in Granville because it’s close !

Good (Saturday) morning. Overnight Low of 15.5C and it's presently 18.1C, overcast with rain & calm. There was 0.5mm in the gauge @ 0900.

Yesterday's predicted high temp didn't occur. It remained overcast at around 21C. The Veteran's Christmas gathering went very well... home by 1430.

Rain has just started up so it looks like an inside day. I do need to start preparing my house for my guests arriving at the end of the month.

I too prefer knobs on my stereo.
The Dodge got boosted and I drove it to the garage. They can change the battery. That one lasted me 5 years, that is 5 years of sitting for 4 months in the summer and then running once a week for about 1 hour the rest of the year.

After I plowed this morning, I pumped 4 gallons of diesel into the tractor. It hold 7.9 US gal. So when the gauge gets to 1/2 it gets filled up.

Good evening all. 28ºF for the start, mostly clear, light breeze. Light wind, scattered clouds, and high temp was 50ºF. Made coffee to start day, bade Malt-o-Meal for breakfast, started load of laundry, Vacuumed up leaves on sidewalk, driveway, and back porch, got up a full 30 gal lawn bag. Took trimmer for walk, lunch and 30 mile bike ride. No nap. Bike rid 1st thing in morning. Truck and SUV have knobs for station and volume, and buttons in steering wheel. I use knobs much more than buttons.

Blood test came back even worse than last time! Will see what the doc says.

Been laying low the last few days. Muscles are finally not sore from the ladder and attic work!
Christmas visits and parties are starting to kick in. With 8 siblings and all their children it seems like we have somewhere to go daily. Nice to have!

Working in the shop quite a bit as I have a couple big orders that need to be done soon. Takes the fun out of it with pressure to finish!
Still selling at the co-op store! Need to go check at the other one where I have things on consignment.

Coffee has finished brewing. 27° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 37° with overcast skies. Not much happened around here yesterday. I did stay warm in the house all day. Need to change house water filters today. Also have deadbolt to install on cellar door. But that is on a outside door. May put off until a warmer day.
Still some leaves on tree limbs.

Good morning, the low is 13 and going to a high of 28°F. Wind N 7 mph. Snow. Risk of freezing rain tonight.

We got about 1/2" of snow last night, but there is more coming, another inch today and four inches over tonight. Depending on how much we get, I will probably wait until tomorrow to plow.

Unless I get the Dodge back today I plan on doing nothing. The garage only does tires on Saturday mornings. I've been car less all summer long so another couple of days wont hurt.
Like a fella I know in Florida said once, "it is kind of hard to drain the swamp when you are up to your arse in alligators."

I think I am going to go back to bed.

I do have one project, two steel shelving racks I used in greenhouse
almost instantly turned into solid rust. Bought two cans of Rust Reformer and will
paint them both today, then use inside garage. Too nasty looking to use now, so either fix them up or throw them out.

I had hoped to get a work party for tomorrow to put cover on rv but landlords coming over to walk the newly surveyed property with me,
and to discuss the fence I want to put in to block contact with crazy neighbor. And hopefully to keep his cats from coming over and eating
my birds.

We cut our Christmas tree yesterday and put it up...still need to decorate it. Della has been curious about it but not troublesome.

My Tundra has big volume and station tuning knobs, while the touchscreen has the station presets, more than I would ever use. Steering wheel buttons pretty intuitive.

Wife just got up....early, with sniffles...better go make her a coffee.

Ct, 22 to start going to 36 ! Overcast and I thought I felt a couple of snowflakes hit me in the face on walk down the DW to get our paper !

Very busy day today ! A senior member of our FD passed away and I have Honor Guard duty in full dress uniform starting at 8:30 ! I do a couple stints of that in the morning and then in afternoon I will be preparing large quantities of hot chocolate to be brought to the center of town for what they call First Night ! First Saturday in December every year along with our down town FD company ! The other company makes hot dogs ! So very busy day ! Better get going !

More touch up painting in the Milk House this AM. Not much else left in there that needs priority attention.

Road trip in a few. Daughters Jeep ended up at a dealer for a look over. Wanted close to 9k to replace hoses and heater core. Tow truck enroute to bring it home for my local guy to look at.

New fridge replacing new fridge coming sometime today. The one that is getting replaced squeals like a pig sometimes. Not kidding. Only a month or so old. Recall we waited months to get it.
