Pretty sure the burn ban has been lifted here.
We've had a little over an inch of rain
definitely greened up the lawn.

going to be a chilly day to put up xmas lights.
I have one pair of double kneed work jeans that are extra
thick and warm.

I tried wearing suspenders years ago, very comfortable, great when pants
tend to slide down, when as my late wife said, one is
all gut and no butt. I'm constantly pulling up my pants.

I have been using suspenders for a few years. Fill the picket with phone, wallet and tools. No dropping of pants. Plus do not need an over tight belt around waist.

Suspenders and belts. For some odd reason I have gone down two sizes in the waist line and the "new" pants just don't fit right. The "old" jeans just slide down to gangsta mode at just the right times.

I guess I should not complain, but I am always on the look out for the perfect fit in jeans and it just is not happening.

Good Morning! 36˚F N wind becoming Easterly. Staying below 60˚ today. Still no rain chance till net week. House temp dropped 2˚ now at 71˚ still no need to turn on the heaters, this house has an abundance of marble and rock that keep the fluctuations in temps minimal.

1st roadtrip to Houston yesterday went off without incident and surprisingly light traffic. I suspect the big travel day was Wednesday. This was the first road trip in the RAV4 and the bells and whistles preformed flawlessly. Apple CarPlay was our navigational system and it was blue toothed from my wife's phone on the charger pad, which kept it at 100%. it was not interrupted by a few texts she got, and it warned of one radar trap. "Lane assist" and "adaptive cruise" were easy to operate and helped with speed and steering. Ventilated and heated seats were both used and we got 30 MPG. It was a lot easier to get in and out of this vehicle than the low sedan it replaced.

Good morning, the low temp is 25 and going to a high of 30°F. Wind W 6 mph. Flurries overnight.
We got 1/4" of snow last night and this morning.

Today is an energy conservation day.

I find that I am forever tightening up my belt, when I sit down I slide the buckle to the right side, that way it doesn't cut into my belly as bad. I always wear my shirt outside my pants so no one sees that my belt buckle isn't centered anyway. I have suspenders, but I don't use them. They are a pita to set up.

Ct, 30 to start going to 42 ! Bright and sunny now, but DW was all ice when I went out for the paper !

We are heading north to Vt later this morning! Looked on the Vt camera, looks like a few inches of wet heavy snow at that house !! We are planning on taking Kathleen’s Honda CRV, we just put new tires on it so I guess we get to test them out !

Drew, I seem to have the same problem, pants do tend to slide down, which is annoying! My butt has moved into my lower stomach area !
I did buy some jeans from Amazon that have some stretch in the waist area, that helps but still need to tighten my belt ! I did try suspenders but as Bill said they are a PI TA !

Good Morning to All who Celebrate! 41 here with a low of 24, rain/snow forecast for this evening.

Ate far too much yesterday, feeling like a slug today. Coffee helped.

Pre-winter cleanup is mostly finished, just some stubborn leaves out front that the old maples refuse to let go of. Lots of seat time grappling away various debris:

Probably have a half day at work if it stays this slow, and then up to my neighbors to put some of their potted plants away from the winter as they're still abroad.

I've been wearing suspenders for a long time, starting with heavy suspenders for work supporting a tool belt to reduce the plumbers crack. Then progressed to wearing them with my jeans or slacks all the time. I use the "side shooters" or "truckers" style that only have two clips one on each side. They don't hang up as you climb into a truck or slide across a seat are easy to put on and use.
This particular style has a pin and eye snap that is actually fairly easy on the waistbands, I also wear a belt with suspenders much of the time.

Good morning
34° and sunny to start. High of 43 and slight chance of a shower this afternoon.

Yesterday was a nice day. Lousy weather, but a nice day. It was fun cooking thanksgiving dinner in our new kitchen in the old folks home. The biggest change was from a glass top electric to a gas range. Definitely a change for the better in my opinion.
Burned a fire all day, let it burn out when I went to bed. The fire bricks were still warm when I cleaned out the ashes this morning. Overall, we are happy with our new accommodations.
Not too much planned for today, some barn chores, should change the oil in the carryall, as well as the tractor.
Not sure if we are playing music or not, I should look into that.

Morning all, 46 going to 47 and sunny, big freeze now, to 27 tonight.
Turkey came out great, wife helped. 17lb since we are having 2 thanksgivings. Next one if more family tomorrow.

Son got accepted to PennState main campus, still waiting to hear from about a dozen others he applied to.

Some stuff fell over due to the wind and rain, and many sticks on the ground, so I have something to do today.

Hope everyone had a good thanksgiving, day off for me today, finally think cold broke, so might go out to dinner tonight.

A very nice TDay lots of great food per usual. Nobody seemed anxious to leave. About 7:30 when last couple left.

Back to bathroom project today and change out my sink.

Need to go into HD today. The Freezer Canada Dave got has 2 dents in the door and of course you can only exchange the complete unit.
