my plans for today sure changed as afternoon taken up getting rv, and didn't get back til dark, making backing in even more fun.
rv ran great, now it will sit here for two weeks until I take it to offsite storage.
Everything fixed and bill was reasonable for work done. I paid with a check to save 3.5%.
Also gave owner's wife some donuts for tomorrow morning.

some light rain due in tonight, then heavier rain due in tomorrow night. sure hope so, passed several flashing signs this afternoon

How times change!!!!
Remember when if you offered to pay cash you could often get a cash discount?
And now they charge extra for credit card.
Here they the state changed the law to allow that.

I think she said they pay close to 4 percent to cc company
and while their shop rate is 175 an hour, so far they seem to be charging for about half
the actual hours. Or the guy is just a whiz mechanic and gets a V10 tuned up in a few hours.
at least none of those plugs broke.
and there is now zero miss at idle.

the serpentine pulley was 99 bucks, seemed reasonable
but again it's the bottom line.
He gave me a 1000 bill not a 1500+ bill he easily could have.
He did a lot of work for the money, including removing and reinstalling the electric steps.
so I couldn't sweat the cc issue, though I did miss out on getting 2 percent back on full charge from cc company.

ordered oranges and grapefruit from Hale Groves this afternoon and going to send them out earlier vs later to make sure they don't get frozen.
that has sure happened in the past. I always buy the same thing for myself so I can see what is going out.

I did buying a Subaru. Only time...though local Volvo dealer is very low key.
I once walked out on a salesman. He called me back about two weeks later and met my terms.

I almost walked out on the salesman who processed my current vehicle. He didn't sell it - I was already going to buy it before we got there - but he sure did have a good grasp on the lying part. What he didn't handle well, though, was being called out on it. He was a young guy, who I noted a couple years ago had left that dealership and started his own used car lot across town. Perfect move for him.
