Good morning!!!!

35 outside right now, heading to upper 40's with rain expected by noon. Will believe it when we see it.

The cabinetry on the wall did not work out. I had a helper platform built and set and we staged the cabinet on that. One look after I got it hoisted up and I went looking for the wife. It was over bearing, just too big for the space. So down it went. Wife is disappointed in her design choice so it looks like floating shelves made of reclaimed barn wood are in the mix. We will have to see if she can sell the cabinet, I believe it is a hoosier original, circa 1920's. Back to the drawing boards.

Managed to start the final cuttings on the pastures for the year. Will finish up pasture number 2 this AM. Don't think we will get to start the front pasture today. Maybe Friday or Saturday for that.

Work (real job) did not go well. Some software glitch and now I get to wait until two agencies duke it out and get a whole bunch of people involved pointing fingers at each other. I told them to basically clear and reset stuff. Guess someone missed the clear out part.

Hope all have a good start to the day, and the day goes well. Be safe.

New vehicles, medically challenged relatives, easing into cold weather…. You guys 🤙🤙🙏🙏🤞🤞

Over an inch of rain today, starting before I finished 1st coffee. No mowing.
PC had doubled my BP med last week and was to order new prescription with Express scripts. Only enough pills left for tomorrow and nothing on the Express scripts account. Called clinic for resolution. Said they had opening in hour so I took it. Had a followup to my ER visit scheduled for Fri so I took it. PC showed me med order. Had him change it to local pickup. Happy with ER follow up, only 2 more days of antibiotics. OK way to spend a rainy morning and now Fri morning is freed up.

Brewery visit interesting but disappointing. Chatted with owner for more than half hour and sampled a stout and dark ale. Nice. Unfortunately she told me they wouldn’t be able to take me on as a keg customer as they don’t have that capacity yet. I knew they didn’t have the 5g kegs, but we had discussed possibly filling mine. They decided likely not feasible for now. They brew 5 barrel batches and have 24 varieties on tap plus service a handful of restaurants and special events. Has hopes to expand to 10 barrel capacity. Told her my ER/kidney stone saga, she told me my Drs name and related her husband is also an ER Doc there.
Also related that owner of local brewery I’ve used last 20 years got sick and died and brewery future is in limbo, possibly due to property owners no longer wanting a brewery there. Kinda sad in that the family started the business as a soda pop bottler many many years, son turned into a brewery. Been sold I think 3 times since I started there. I think family lives in house adjacent. The last owner tried expanding as a Tap room.

Enjoyed nice lunch with Sophie, picked up my meds and back home.

Coffee is brewing. 42° with light rain this morning. Heading to 47° with cloudy skies. .05" rain so far. Got my grocery shopping done. Then a trip to local JD dealer. Got out of there with only $.84 part. May get it installed on JD mower today. Yesterday was a conserve energy day finally. Even got 1 hour nap at lunch time. But still got over 6k steps for the day. Must be Sassy fault. She sure likes her walks to back of property. Have about 6 items on to-do list today. Hope to get them done between raindrops.

Mostly, not sure. TX rain is different than MI rain. 🌨️ ☔🤠 Maybe a wide brim Texas hat will help.

Everyone stay well and safe.

Good Morning All.

good morning all
cooler morning, highs today only near 50.
have a mobile detailer coming this afternoon to clay bar and wax Volvo.
I've gotten mineral deposits all over it from squirting it off with garden hose, and my "outside" water
does not go through water filtration system. Over time started to build up on windows and paint.
Though I enjoy waxing, too much work for me to clay bar the whole car, but a local high school kid (junior at Central Bucks) is part of business where local juniors and seniors come after school and wash/wax your car in your driveway. Will be interesting to see how good he is. I bought an extra bottle of CLR just to have if he needs it. Only had him do outside, 160 bucks, not inside which I keep clean myself.

I did ask the very polite young man if he had insurance. No sir. ok...

hard freeze out now, veggie garden will be done for year, though I think the blackberries will keep coming in.

Drew those may be beetle that mimics lady bug.
I think you are right, no red wings or much color, mostly black bugs
all bugs wind up in my vac bag promptly though if I see a real lady bug and I can pick it up, will just chuck
it outside.

might work on leaves today, not a lot left, just the hanger ons. Unfortunately front door of my cottage is angled to be a leaf
collector for all winds blowing in one direction, so constantly having to blow my walkway off. And unless I suck them up, back they will come like
magnets to the door.

David, I keep thinking of the jungle you are trying to mow. Wonder if you might be better hiring a company to bush mow it for you, beat it back to a level
where your equipment is sized for it. Honestly looks like you are trying to do too much though I guess if you go super slowly it will digest all that brush.

locally I have two friends who have inherited properties where the prior owner planted bamboo. Now illegal due to invasive species, the bamboo grows so closely together even the deer can't fit through there. Sure does make a sight block though, even in winter.

Buppies, geez what a tough day, so sorry, hope lumps and bumps heal quickly.

33 going to 52 and rain...may get a decent one...Rip, you'll get some, too. Probably have time for a hike at the park before it rains.

Sorry about your employee, Buppies. Sounds like a good guy.

Ken, prayers for your dad and brother.

Mostly, I don't know anything about those electric splitters. I saw there are a number of reviews on you-tube...none by Project Farm, though.

Don, real nice vehicle for your wife...great choice...sweet garage floor, too.

Phil, I like your stove and of course, your woodworking is tops.

Rebuilt my homemade mulching cover for my mower deck before mowing leaves and a little grass for 2+ hours yesterday. Needed a tighter fit to prevent last years' blowback. I'll declare it was much better, especially after I spent so much time on it. Still got covered with leaves and dust due to the wind. Still some maple and oak leaves hanging on, but I'll maybe use the rake once they fall.

Cleaned out the stove and built our 2nd fire this year. Feels good now and should help with today's wet chilly day.
