Couldn't believe the rain gauge when I got there...over an inch...never heard it rain that hard, but it was steady for a long while. Maybe it shifted to high gear after I went to bed. So thankful since it's been so dry for so long.

You'd be a great neighbor! Move here any time.
and vice versa! Looks like you and Della are having some good times and making good memories.
It would be nice to live up there amongst our team of friends....I have pondered that before.

Plans for the evening...Mrs. made homemade beef stew and biscuits this afternoon :giggle: feet up until eye lids get heavy.

Enjoy your evening all.

BIG thank you to all veterans past and present. :)
Beef stew and biscuits....yummy.
I'm having my beef broth, because I'm having a colonoscopy tomorrow. Only clear liquids today. So y'all be sure and make humor about the impending colon explosion that will be happening this evening. I don't mind. A good laugh is a good laugh.

My uncle told me: "if it doesn't hurt, it doesn't work!" :)

Suprisingly, had yet another wildfire scare yesterday. About 11am a brush fire broke out. Winds were gusting to 60mph and blowing straight from it to us. It was moving rapidly, went from 1 acre to 100 acres pretty fast. 11 homes destroyed.

But within about 2 hours, the rain rolled in, winds calmed down, and it poured. No longer a problem. Plus got a dusting of snow out of it.

Everyone have a great day !!!
That is scary about the wildfire. Sorry for the 11 homes destroyed. Put your important stuff in a handy "to go" box, just in case you have to leave in minutes.

67°F and .23 inches rain

Feeling my best in a week. Pain seems to be gone this morning. Encouraging.

Hope for a least semi productive day without over doing it. An energy conservation day is nice, but not when it’s painfully forced.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day
I'm really glad to hear you are feeling a bit better. Take it easy.

Having drama with autistic daughter. She can get so angry at the drop of a hat.

Prayers for our team, our country, Ukraine and ******.

BTW, my wife said she bought a couple of chuck roasts that she's going to cut up and make.......beef stew.

So that must be "the thing" this week.

Ron, glad your neighbor "dragged" you away from chores for a bit. :) Love the pics. Stay well.

Don, hope the new vehicle is a good one. EV's work for some people depending on their drives, and not others. Long term battery costs are something BIG to deal with on some cars. It helps to have skills like Popgadget to lower repair costs.

Good morning, the low is 25 and going to a high of 39°F. Wind NNE 3 mph. Sunny!

When you lift a vehicle, in order to keep some resemblance of stability you need to widen the stance. You also need to use your one brain cell and NOT come racing up to a stop. I would hazard a guess that his brake pads/shoes were down to steel on steel if that is the way he drives all the time. If in fact his brakes did fail. We will probably never know because there was nobody else involved in his roll-over, there wont be much of an investigation. Jumping over the curb and turning right at the same time didn't help the situation at all. He will live and learn, maybe.

Today is an energy conservation day.

Have a safe day all
Having played with racing of go carts, snowmobiles, motorcycles and off road vehicles. I see brake lights come on when truck hit the curb. My reaction to that happening would to be to give gas pedal a push and/or steer out of the roll. Putting brakes on guaranteed a roll over. I drove by where accident happened today. Yellow tape is rapped around power pole that cab of truck hit. Looks like pole and cables going up it will need to be replaced

You’re always welcome to pop in. We might even feed you.
I know one thing, after coming up to Drew's by Rt 30, then 202 up thru Norristown, not doing that route again. Missed a turn for 202, hit downtown on a closed road, waze steered me up another one way street that was closed, so then had to take trailer down a narrow one way alley, to another one way street the wrong direction, and waze kept trying to get me to go back to the closed streets. I finally saw on google maps if I went one street the other way, then a left, I could get back to 202, which I did. But 202 is all being torn up, and was flagged one way for awhile, so took forever. I avoid turnpikes, but now looking at google maps, it appears I76 is no toll in that area toward Philly, so could have gone around Norristown maybe without a toll.
The ride back on I78 to I81 was much better, although it was dark when we left Cabela's. Wife went in to buy her a new raincoat, I didn't even go in. Usually it's the other way around at Cabelas.

50 deg
grilled burgers for lunch, while wife was at an appointment.
Then blew and mowed more leaves. That will be it for the maples in front, and probably all I do with the oaks in the back. Didn't get them all the way to the woods, but they are down in the field away from the house.

Was sitting out on the ZT, returning a call to my brother who was at Dad's doing some work, when snagglepuss decided to join me for a nap in my lap. She ran when I started the ZT back up.

took golf cart out for a short spin, my first EV. Think I will keep it in the garage next to my handicap ramp, since can't use that door for a car without removing the ramp, but golf cart fits next to it fine. Then I can keep one car in the other bay.
Need to shuffle more stuff around in the garage though.

Teaching class at church tonight, so got that ready to go.

Good (Thursday) morning. Overnight Low of 10.9C and it's presently 17.5C, somewhat overcast with a wee breeze. There was 4.0mm in the gauge @ 0900... rain again predicted for this evening.

It was a full day, yesterday. 'Into town' tasks completed, including getting the 'letter' requested for the OAP scanned & emailed to my home computer. [A free service @ our Library]. Scripts collected and there was, indeed, something in my PO Box. Groceries purchased.

Whilst in town, I opened the 'official' letter that was at the PO = time for my annual medical for my driver license due to my Type II diabetes. So I stopped by my clinic to make an appointment = sure, it can be done this very afternoon @ 1515!

Home, unpacked the groceries, then managed to figure out how to upload the requested letter/document to the OAP Application. Stacked wood and then headed back in for the medical.

Today will be simply continuing to stack wood this arvo.

That's about it, take care all.

New SUV is in the garage. The trade today went off without any problems. Wife is impressed with my choice of vehicle for her and was glad I had already finished all the negotiating and paperwork Saturday. Still learning all the controls but did get the Home Link programed to open the garage door.
