61 outside this AM, heading to lower 80's. Yikes....need rain bad.

Another road trip today, getting the cars at the in-laws appraised. Sigh. House contract offer was not accepted. Sigh. All this BS for a few thousand dollars. Meanwhile the family is trying to provide house cover from other states. Good thing gas prices are coming down, have added miles on the truck these past few weeks...not happy.

Punta Cana, 79 to start going to 85 ! Beautiful sky with a nice breeze!
We got in about 11am yesterday morning, it was mostly overcast but today looks much better !

Glad everything is over as far as political ads ! Amen to that !

Time for a walk with Kathleen before it gets too hot and then some breakfast!

Woke to some wonderful news. Did not watch any tv yesterday.
Going to visit wife’s cousin up in PA today. Up above where we recently camped. Will take a scenic drive on roads I’ve never been on.
They having us for supper, so not sure about returning in the dark, or staying someplace. It’s only about 2.5 hrs away, but dislike driving strange country roads after dark, and a chance of rain later.

What a good morning.

No experience myself, just have regular Medicare. If you remember our friend, John, his retirement insurance switched to an Advantage plan, caused all kinds of problems with his longterm prescription coverage. Took months to get resolved.

Thanks to the site Lou shared, I see advantage plans can be either HMO or PPO based. But why does govt make it so confusing, with lifetime penalties if you goof up. What a racket.

Good morning TBN!!! 65 balmy but wet deg this morning with expectations of adding 10 deg and more rain.
Slow day yesterday, Went and voted. N0 waiting so it went quickly then to town for errands. Came home and puttered around the garage for the rest of the day.
I like TBN so I will keep my political views to myself
Plan today is to pull my temp footbridge out so as not to destroy my 25 ft ladder. Pain because the walkway was some scrap steel on half of it. Expecting heavier rain overnight.
Got 7500 steps in despite the rains and sitting behind the steering wheel.

Finish the second cup and will enjoy the warm weather that won't last to much longer.

Got nothing done yesterday, just got garbage cans down for today's pickup.

What a BEAUTIFUL, warm, sunny morning full of God’s Love!

Good morning! 42˚F clear skies heading to the mid 70s. With the window open last night this is the coldest our house has been since we bought it 75˚.

The 70˚ pool water has steam drifting up, just a beautiful cool morning with everything still wet from the inch plus rains Monday.

Had a call from the Auto shop but missed it yesterday evening because I left my phone on silent mode after PT. Will call them later. I started using this shop after the KIA dealership could not make an appointment for a month last time the AC needed charging (during covid).
edit: evaporator coil has a leak this will be an expensive repair - at least they found the leak this time after putting dye in the system last time.

A very good morning to you all! I rec'd my package yesterday of bare root seedlings. I ordered "ninebark" shrubs, to replace the 10 "choke cherry" I planted two years ago that just didn't grow. Don't know if was that they came from the Kansas state nursery, the other 15 ninebark that I got from the Iowa state nursery (where I got these) are doing just fine. They'll be two years behind so I hope they catch up. These are lining my 300 foot driveway. I'll be planting 'em today.

What a wonderful morning, time to turn the page.

Yesterday was exciting, a few hours mowing with the LS, until I got it stuck

Took awhile but with the help of both Sophie’s BX and the Mule we got it out. Have to go bad and retrieve the rotary cutter. Should have known it was going too well and got over confident. And perhaps memory not so could as I would have sworn I’d mowed that area previously. Likely when drier of course

Plan for the day is wait a bit then carefully retriever and resume mowing

Evap coil can be a pricey repair depending on if the whole dash needs to come out. They make them thinner and thinner every year.

I owe a big THANK YOU to the member who posted here a few pages back about cleaning their drier vent hose. Mine's been not drying so well lately. I just went out and found the vent cover/screen mostly plugged up with lint.
