signed storage contract with Village Scene rv campground in Hatfield, PA for three months starting Dec 1 to take my rv and get it out of my driveway.
85 bucks a month and close to their office. Once I get it back from the shop I'll take it down there and then organize my second annual
rv cover party. It is a clean machine and ready to be covered and unlikely I'll get to wash it again before it gets stored.
It's not a pleasant drive down the congestion of Montgomery Co but at least my coffee company friend now lives about three blocks from this rv campground in a fancy new over 55 Del Webb community. So I'll go check on the rv and check on him.

hmmmmm
Christmas is coming next month
time sure does fly

64°F and rain this morning, only going up to 72° today. We've had some pretty heavy rain here on and off all day so far, and it's really boomy out there right now. We'll take noisy rain.

First day for the new Quality Engineer at work. I gave him the extended tour of the place (he's new to electronics assembly), then ownership took him (us) to lunch. It will come as no surprise that I had the tacos, which were delicious. Seems like a nice enough guy.

Good afternoon, gents.

Good evening..... seems like I have finally found 5 minutes to post!

Fall has definitely arrived here.... temps have been going lower all week, with a high of only 48° today. Tonight's temp expected to drop to 26°. We may have our first snow overnight, maybe an inch.

Off and on sprinkles today, but only a trace of rain in the gauge. The guessers are predicting storms overnight, so maybe some more can get in the gauge. Hope so.....

It has been a difficult week.....apparently we weren't done with the bad luck.....
Finally got Dona into the PCP. They started panicking over a small lump found on her neck. Then her bloodwork is all out of wack.... which also caused an increase in the panic.....
Unfortunately, the provider she saw was Chinese and speaks very broken English. I can only catch a little more than half of what she says...(and I am fluent in drunk talk from the streets). Then she will ask you a question, but will then talk over you before you can even answer!

I literally had to yell at her " SHUT THE 'F+*' UP AND LISTEN TO WHAT WE ARE SAYING"..... it worked for about 4 minutes. We won't go back to that practice. The only purpose was to get referrals, xrays, and such started for her back. The provider has done NOTHING for her back except for initial xrays, focused solely on the bloodwork......

She now has an appointment at the spine and back center on Tuesday after getting the referral. Then, only after making a pest of myself calling them twice a day for 3 days.....

Going to run two gauntlets at once, in different cities. The one for the back is up in Santa Fe, the other for the abnormal labs and lump in Albuquerque. Each one at a different hospital/health network. We may try to consolidate to the system for the orthopedic services up in Santa Fe. That system is part of the Mayo network.

Unfortunately, Dona still can barely walk, has constant pain, and really has a hard time laying down. I wish I could post an xray on here..... L3,4, and 5 kinda look like this: //-\\-// ....

She can sleep for maybe 30 minutes to an hour. She's really dragging. I have become quite the domestic engineer.....

I'll try to check in when I get a chance. I need to keep everything moving, no one else will....

Everyone have a great evening!
LS,
first of all, Prayers For you and Dona.
Sorry for DR issues. Wish they would listen and be more helpful. The whole country is so messed up right now, shortages everywhere, from Doctors, workers, housing, etc... The cause is obvious, but too many heads buried in the sand.

Good (Tuesday) morning. Overnight Low of 6.5C and it's presently 20.7C, clear with a gentle breeze.

As all would know, this Tuesday is a very important day as it is, of course, Melbourne Cup day ["The Race That Stops The Nation"].🐴🐴🐴

The first 'ton' (ute-load) of split wood has already been delivered, so I'll need to get 'stuck in' to stacking this arvo. 8 more loads to arrive during the week or so, there's no hurry.

That's about it, take care all.
Those deer whistles I posted about really work at speeds over 35 mph. They work for deer, moose and black bears.
I use the same whistles, they do indeed work @ speeds 60 kph +.
Of course, for me it's primarily wallaby, padymelon and possum (bloody suicidal at the best of times!).
We do have a feral European deer population too.

Good Evening GS,
the CEO of my medical group that they are "negotiating" with my Medicare Advantage insurance carrier Humana for a new contract with "fair compensation". The current contract expires 1/1/25, which is after the open enrollment period. Hope I don't need to find another carrier, since this dr office and pharmacy are right here in town and I don't want to change.
GS, I decided that the straight Medicare plan seemed to be the best when we went on it ! The Advantage plans can save you some money up front but in the long run the straight Medicare seemed the most flexible, even though it was a bit more money ! JMO !
Best of luck working through all of that ! 🙏

Good morning,
Sure doesn’t feel like November
IMG_0392.jpeg

Leaf patrol is hopefully done for this year, there are some small beech trees along the driveway that are holding onto their leaves and may need some touch up. Now onto bigger and better things , no idea what that may be but I’m sure something will appear.

Enjoy your day everyone
Stay safe and healthy

Waiting for coffee to cool a little. 63° with cloudy skies this morning. Heading to 73° with afternoon rain and a good SW breeze. Decided to make atrip to Kubota dealer that is about 40 minutes from me. Got a gallon of transmission oil, and a new valve fitting. When I got back helped neighbor trim shrubs. Today will replace fitting on tractor and put FEL on. Also have a set of wheels to install on my Little Giant ladder. Should make it easier to move it around.

Scotty, its easy to beat my posting every morning. Just post before 4:30 am eastern time.

Everyone stay well and safe.

Good Morning All.

Good morning, the low is 56 and going to a high of 59°F. Wind SSW 11 mph. Rain.

Off to North Bay for the month end/beginning for groceries and pet food.

One more payment on the Dodge and it is all mine. That ought to give my credit rating a boost up.

Buppies, can you get asphalt at another supplier to finish the contract before winter? That might be a better option than forfeiting a performance bond.

Mostly, you do have to keep the whistles clean. I take mine a part about once a month and clean them.
All you need to do is run some water through them to clean the dead bugs out. It is not like you gotta use soap on them and a small bottle brush.

Time to get on with my day,

Have a safe day all

51 going to 74...fog reported on the news, but none here.

Looks like another hurricane may be coming into the gulf, and maybe track up this way. They sure don't need it, but we need rain badly.

After taking Della for a hike, had a nice outing with my wife...a little shopping for her, lunch, then new tires for me and emptying the wallet at Costco while we waited for the installation. I know a couple of you have had frustrations, but I sure like how they do it. Gee, such a nicer feel to the ride home once they were installed...I guess like getting a new pair of nice fitting shoes for the feet.
