Those deer whistles I posted about really work at speeds over 35 mph. They work for deer, moose and black bears. I get mine at the dollar store for about $1.25 a pair. Amazon has them too, but they are more money.

Good evening..... seems like I have finally found 5 minutes to post!

Fall has definitely arrived here.... temps have been going lower all week, with a high of only 48° today. Tonight's temp expected to drop to 26°. We may have our first snow overnight, maybe an inch.

Off and on sprinkles today, but only a trace of rain in the gauge. The guessers are predicting storms overnight, so maybe some more can get in the gauge. Hope so.....

It has been a difficult week.....apparently we weren't done with the bad luck.....
Finally got Dona into the PCP. They started panicking over a small lump found on her neck. Then her bloodwork is all out of wack.... which also caused an increase in the panic.....
Unfortunately, the provider she saw was Chinese and speaks very broken English. I can only catch a little more than half of what she says...(and I am fluent in drunk talk from the streets). Then she will ask you a question, but will then talk over you before you can even answer!

I literally had to yell at her " SHUT THE 'F+*' UP AND LISTEN TO WHAT WE ARE SAYING"..... it worked for about 4 minutes. We won't go back to that practice. The only purpose was to get referrals, xrays, and such started for her back. The provider has done NOTHING for her back except for initial xrays, focused solely on the bloodwork......

She now has an appointment at the spine and back center on Tuesday after getting the referral. Then, only after making a pest of myself calling them twice a day for 3 days.....

Going to run two gauntlets at once, in different cities. The one for the back is up in Santa Fe, the other for the abnormal labs and lump in Albuquerque. Each one at a different hospital/health network. We may try to consolidate to the system for the orthopedic services up in Santa Fe. That system is part of the Mayo network.

Unfortunately, Dona still can barely walk, has constant pain, and really has a hard time laying down. I wish I could post an xray on here..... L3,4, and 5 kinda look like this: //-\\-// ....

She can sleep for maybe 30 minutes to an hour. She's really dragging. I have become quite the domestic engineer.....

I'll try to check in when I get a chance. I need to keep everything moving, no one else will....

Ct, 33 to start going to 56 ! Looks like back and forth today, sunny then some clouds!
Work wants me for a few hours this morning, and hoping to get out early afternoon for any last minute , to do’s around the house before early to bed and then a wee hour wake-up for our trip to JFK !

Watched are youngest sons kids yesterday afternoon and evening! They always have fun with Nana !

Good morning TBN. Overcast and 55 this morning going to a gloomy mid 60's although it should be mostly dry.
Spent the day in Charlotte yesterday getting educated. Now I have a headache Oh well good for another year.

Going to be an easy day today with nothing special on the agenda.
May have to get more steps in though. Didn't even make it to 6k.

Off to make another cup of coffee and see what happens.

LS - hang in there. Dona's back problems make me recall bad memories of mine. I ended up having 3 surgeries over the years ~2007 to 2012. Had one doctor diagnose me as a faker, because I could stand on tippy-toe. About a week later an MRI showed a large bulge of spinal nerve down around L5 and the radiologist wanted to get me an ambulance because he said I couldn't walk.
But thankfully better doctors and the 3 surgeries patched me up, as long as I'm careful, and I've had a great dozen years since 2012.

Good Morning
29° with a high of 60 forecast. Still no rain.

Yesterday I did a batch of small chores. Went to HD and got a 10’ step ladder, cleaned out all the gutters on the OFH. spread some more grass seed, moved the sprinklers around, moved some more stuff from the house, slowly filling cabinets and drawers in the OFH.

I did fly the little plane to Reading for lunch with a friend. Had a great Cuban sandwich. Later in the afternoon I started feeling chills, we were supposed to go to our daughters for a dinner party, I took my temperature, 99.8. Sent the wife without me, curled up under a blanket and went to sleep.

Woke up this morning 98.6. I’ve always had a pretty robust immune system, I’m glad it kicked whatever this was to the curb quickly.

Not sure what I’ll get into today, but there is plenty to choose from.
