Poured firs cup of hot coffee. 28° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 55° with lots of sun. Got all the leaves in windrows for cleanup with Trac-Vac. Made sure pond net is fastened down properly. Have to protect waterfalls from leaves today. Got mower off tractor ready to change oil in transmission. But not today. Going to see if I can get a conserve energy day in.

good morning all
wow, 80 yesterday, 45 out now, only high in 60's today
a/c off, heat back on
going to be a busy day but weather is nice
picking up my young helper at 10am and then we will work on a variety of projects here, including
his scrubbing the rv roof while I'm washing the sides. I want to keep water flowing on the sides while he is using
super strong detergent on the roof, don't want all my wax stripped off.

made a little chart for him how to wash the roof, breaking it up into left and right three foot sections so he can work his way backwards to the ladder.
most importantly, I don't want him near the edges of the roof, sudsy water is slippery though I told him to wear old sneakers or deck shoes.

then when that is done, we'll attack the leaves.

think I'm going to have to bite the bullet and order a new rv mattress from Brooklyn Bedding. Current one is terrible, aided by a two inch memory foam topper. Topper keeps sliding off bed, drives me nuts. So today the bed gets stripped so I can wash everything, and the foam topper goes in the trash can.
Too bad it can't be used for something else. I wonder if the foam is recyclable? probably not. Bed is a "short queen" normal for rv's, not full length.
800 bucks for a coil spring mattress with a pillow top. Was hoping to avoid that but after this trip I knew that foam topper had to go.

still haven't dealt with my plumbing leaks. Hoping the plumbing fairy will come, after fairy delivers Wagtails' wine...
Simplest thing is to take rv into dealer and get a huge bill back. And I bet it still all leaks.
which is why plan B is to replace nothing more, after getting engine tuned up, and trade it in on a larger rv. Problem is dealers give terrible trade in values. So I'm probably back to fixing what I have. Except I don't fit in there...
175 an hour for rv shop labor adds up quickly.
Now if I was half my size and had Popgadget's skills...

second cup of coffee tastes just as good as the first.
just wish it was light out before 7am
hope you all have a good weekend

Good Morning,
Ct,42 to start going to 56 ! The wind seems to have stopped, which is a good thing because more leaf patrol today ! I just cleaned the yard 2 days ago but you would never know it ! 😉

Plans for today...4 hours at part store, afternoon try section leaves until darkness arrives.
Thomas, and darkness will come soon ! 😉

Kathleen has grand kids this afternoon, but I will be too busy to help her much, lots of leaves to move today ! Leaf control in Vermont is so much easier, the wind comes up the mountain from the southwest and just blows them into the woods ! 😉😀

Went out to Texas Roadhouse with friends last night put too much salt on the steaks prior to cooking !

Buppies, hoping you can get more sleep ! And situation improves if possible! 🙏

Hope all have a great Saturday! 🙏

good morning, 43 going to 62 colder today

Windrow of leaves around the porch. The big Pecan tree let them go yesterday finally. Gutters are topped off with leaves too. Need a big wind storm to blow it all away

Ordered biocide for treating the diesel storage tank. Not cheap but better be safe

The chain saw chaps arrived yesterday. Good protection is important especially when getting a little older

Plan to pick up rocks from the area around the slopes and who knows what else may come up

D hit a jackpot of a hotel on the Mekong river where she is staying a few days. Lovely gardens, 15 mins out of town and very serene. Staff is friendly and the hotel manager is very talkative. She is one of 13 kids and her dad is same age as me she says

Morning all. 45 here going to a partly cloudy 52.
Lot's of errands to do today. Will be running around picking up and dropping off things.
Cousin has a small project to do at his house. Putting bigger wheels on the snow plow cart we made last year.
All of the maple and ash trees are now bare. Had the yard looking nice for almost 15 minutes!
Yesterdays high winds have brought down the oak tree leaves with a vengeance! Think I will wait a few days before playing the removal game. My two neighbors upwind haven't even started cleanup and probably won't for a while if ever! The leaves in our street are 6 inches thick!
Oh well. Happens every year.
Here's a quick pick of load number 10 for this week. You can see the yard is already covered in the background.
Off to get ready.
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!
Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers buppies!

Good morning TBN!!!
64 this morning but only supposed to get to about 70 today. Wind has laid down so maybe a little more leaf control today.

Ever have one of those days where nothing seems to go quite right? I did... so I opted to not do anything that needed to be quite right.
Started with the 4 wheeler. It is in worse shape now then when starting, so I stopped and prepped relay for return and ordered the correct one.
Started to lube the FEL. After making a mess all over with old lube, I got new tube in and first zert I came to was sheared off. I saw the writing on the wall so I stopped.

Decided it would be safer to walk the dog and he was being ornery. But we got 9k steps in together on a couple of different walks. Not too bad if that doesn't go right ;)

Not sleeping very well which will make the time change that much worse. Plus I need to be up at about 3:30 or so to go to Charlotte for a day of continuing education. Won't be back home until near 8 but a necessary evil. Although I am retired I do keep my Optician License up to date incase I WANT or need to go back to work. License it what pays decent $$$. Really don't see that happening but it is a sound investment.

Now off to do things right!! :D
Everyone have a great and safe day!!!
