good morning all
wow, 80 yesterday, 45 out now, only high in 60's today
a/c off, heat back on
going to be a busy day but weather is nice
picking up my young helper at 10am and then we will work on a variety of projects here, including
his scrubbing the rv roof while I'm washing the sides. I want to keep water flowing on the sides while he is using
super strong detergent on the roof, don't want all my wax stripped off.
made a little chart for him how to wash the roof, breaking it up into left and right three foot sections so he can work his way backwards to the ladder.
most importantly, I don't want him near the edges of the roof, sudsy water is slippery though I told him to wear old sneakers or deck shoes.
then when that is done, we'll attack the leaves.
think I'm going to have to bite the bullet and order a new rv mattress from Brooklyn Bedding. Current one is terrible, aided by a two inch memory foam topper. Topper keeps sliding off bed, drives me nuts. So today the bed gets stripped so I can wash everything, and the foam topper goes in the trash can.
Too bad it can't be used for something else. I wonder if the foam is recyclable? probably not. Bed is a "short queen" normal for rv's, not full length.
800 bucks for a coil spring mattress with a pillow top. Was hoping to avoid that but after this trip I knew that foam topper had to go.
still haven't dealt with my plumbing leaks. Hoping the plumbing fairy will come, after fairy delivers Wagtails' wine...
Simplest thing is to take rv into dealer and get a huge bill back. And I bet it still all leaks.
which is why plan B is to replace nothing more, after getting engine tuned up, and trade it in on a larger rv. Problem is dealers give terrible trade in values. So I'm probably back to fixing what I have. Except I don't fit in there...
175 an hour for rv shop labor adds up quickly.
Now if I was half my size and had Popgadget's skills...
second cup of coffee tastes just as good as the first.
just wish it was light out before 7am
hope you all have a good weekend
