Good morning!!!!

Afternoon all,
Well it's sure not morning but I procrastinated the morning away and finally got going this afternoon;
Well, this afternoon drove home a bit how much older I am and what I can do.
Had my "shop" resided last year. Got the paint for it but it never got done.
So this afternoon with a reasonable temperature I thought I get some of it done.
So got out my airless sprayer that had only been used once and found it hadn't been cleaned enough when it was put away.
Had tried to run some satin varnish through it, didn't work very well as you couldn't see how much you had applied.
So this afternoon got out 2 gallons of the Cabot penetrating stain I had picked up last year and the sprayer, thought I could get the two side walls done.
Nope, not going to happen it took a couple of hours to get the thing working and flushed out. Then with it working.
I got started, had to use a stepladder to get the eve done and a couple of feet down then I could get it from the ground. Surprise number 2 that damned T1 11 soaked up that stain like there was no tomorrow the dang wall is only 24 feet long and 9 and half feet high but it sucked up 3 gallons of that stain. Only got 3 gallons left,
so I hope to get the other wall tomorrow after the dew gets off everything. Then I'll have to go get more to do the ends, with the walls taking 3 gallons I figure the ends are going to take at least 4 ma6ybe 5 gallons to do so I'll have to get some more and wait for a another spell to do those.
Or when you get a round tuit. :ROFLMAO:

Heck it's awful tempting to me and I already have several, too many according to my wife.

Good Evening,
Found a leak near the valve stem on the tube that is not fixable but patched it anyway to at least drive it into the barn. Blocked it up.
Frits, nice work, you still have it my friend ! Don’t sell yourself short ! If I recall I had a job replacing the tube on my 1982 Wheel Horse garden tractor ! 😉😀

Wow, those tubes are almost expensive as what tires used to be ! 😉

Well it's last summer evening finally. :)

Good afternoon...side field trim and mow last time this year :)Mrs. took me out to dinner and chose restaurant strongly suggested what I should try.

Plans for the evening share bowl ice cream watch little football until eye lids get heavy.

   / Good morning!!!! #196,968
my day thankfully improved enormously by being taken for a drive up route 1 to Point
Reyes and then cutting East to family home in Santa Rosa.
Saw the oyster beds on the way up, a very pretty drive that I wish had been taken slower. My neck really hurts now despite the soft collar I wore because my BIL doesn't understand g force, he attacks every curve despite my sister yelling at him.
so I got whipped around quite a bit on these extraordinarily curvy roads.

fun time with sister's kids and their kids, the whole point of this trip.
despite the four kids noise, actually had hoped I could stay longer but since they know I turn into an early pumpkin, I was driven back to rv. Those little 7-10 year olds were adorable, and all gave me a big smile and a hug.
mission accomplished...

I still have all the vinyl albums I bought in the '70s and early '80s, BEF. I started buying CDs in '84, and still do.
Still have the vinyl. About 3' wide. Daughter took a stack maybe about 6" high when she moved out a month ago.
I switched to CD's too around 1984ish.

My wife & I are to attend a wedding October first in Lisbon, Portugal...I'm an usher.
We went to our local post office for passports two months ago. About $400, application, pictures, etc. Wife received hers two weeks later...I never got mine. Instead I get email & letter saying I never signed application.
So back to post office where they showed a copy & I DID sign it. So more $, another application & picture, resubmitted.
I called 2 weeks ago, US State Department, agent assured me I'd receive it on time & check back today which I just did. Agent said they're working on it & I need pay another $82 to expedite but no guarantee I'd get it in time!
I said why don't I pay $1,000 to be sure it's on time...agent disconnected call.
I call my Congressman & had to print/copy/email a consent form which I did.
What a h/// to go through!
Why did you pay again after seeing and showing them your signature on the original?

I came home last night to an emotional disaster I never expected. My next door neighbor is clearly mentally ill, and while I was away, started pulling out dead trees near my garage. He claims I"ve been planting flowers on his property and maybe I have being completely unaware. He has watched me for years and said absolutely nothing. Apparently the property line is not one side of the gravel lane next to me but rather inside the tree line I was told was this property.

so while I"m away he goes bonkers. Starts sending me emails yesterday afternoon. I came home last night to six of them. Then they started coming in every fifteen minutes, crazy stuff like F you over and over and I'm an owner and you are tenant and know your place, just nutty stuff.

I tried to de-escalate and the f you's kept coming, followed by gosh I'd really like to hear about your trip when you get back. Clearly off his meds and he has a long known history of mental challenges. Plus his cat comes over and constantly kils my birds and he thinks thats a good thing. I had to forward everything to my landlord last night who is just as horrified by this guy as I am.

It may mean I have to move if landlord will not install a big fence of some sort along the agreed upon property line.
After this guy gave me my "final warning" twice, I knew he was totally nuts.
So I have a mentally unstable person giving me final warnings.
This sure ruined by nice day yesterday, thinking of what this wackadoo is doing while I"m away
I blocked his email address so at least no more upsetting craziness.
Drew, I would be upset too. Don't know enough of the situation, but if the guy is as upset as it sounds like he is, I would get the law involved. Some people will "stew" themselves into doing something bad. Your emails should be reported. Sounds like your landlord lady is afraid of him. Most older folks don't like anything to change.

A fence won't fix his anger, it should define the boundary, which could make him angrier. Old boundarys are "Tree beside rock" type maybe?

Maybe that big articulated tractor could have a manlift put on the loader to help with the painting? I know what you mean about the stain soaking in. I think I like polyurethanes from now on for stuff like that if they make one suitable.

Wifey's birthday yesterday. We took all the family out to eat Friday for supper, all had a good time and a good meal. Then we went to the varsity football game. Our team lost by a score. Scratch chocolate cake perfect.

Busy at work. Time flies by.

Son and team had a good game Thursday in the 100F heat. It was brutal. They won 22-0. A bunch of teams are having trouble fielding enough players. Son's team has about 23 to 25 players. Since son is in such great shape, he plays both ways. I wish it was cooler for him to keep him from heat exhaustion. I also wish they would sub for him more. Praying to get through this season with no more injuries.

We mowed the yard today. I pushed the walk behind recycled Craftsman around to weedeat. Son said Steiner Beast was difficult to steer and go. 2 quarts low on hydraulic fluid. Need to see where it is leaking. But haven't added any this season as far as I can remember. He jumped on the 42" Deere LT180 mower and finished the yard. Takes twice as long as the Steiner, but does a good job. I had rebuilt the TuffTorq trans and it works great. I believe the adjustment rod is biased a bit to go even faster in forward, and a bit slower in reverse. I like it better this way.

Since the yard is fresh mowed down to a 2.5" height, the bluebirds come to eat whatever they like to eat. They come when the yard is fresh mowed. I filled the birdbath 3 times today, as so many birds were needing a bath and cool down in this heat.

Met with Pastor friend and his family for supper this afternoon. We had pizza at the good place. He had been to a conference and got to see a 1st and 2nd print King James Bibles.

Bowling Green gave A&M everything they could handle just now, but Aggies held on 20 -26

Popgadget, You had mentioned selling the turbine plane, wondering why? Much cheaper to fly for most shorter trips, right? Glad you got the small plane going again. I didn't know if the aerial pics were from the small plane or a drone. OFH is coming along beautifully. Are you the contractor? It seems things are just happening perfectly in sequence with not too many snags. Glad you figured out the heat exhaust. That brings up a question. Many of the newer wall ovens have a convection fan and element at the far back wall of the oven. How much heat do they exhaust into the room? The oven I bought off of Marketplace from a guy who said "My wife wants a convection oven", well, it blows so much hot air into the kitchen, we might as well have a cast iron wood burning stove almost. While they are trying to build energy saving appliances, they need to make ovens that have a sticker that says "Air Conditioner Friendly". Our old Whirlpool wall oven had both elements actually inside the oven space. This one has the broiler in the top, but the regular element is under the steel bottom, which creates so much heat that has to be exhausted while it transfers a little of it to the inside of the oven. My buddy who is building a new home bought a Frigidaire Gallery convection. I'm waiting for it to be installed so I can see how much it blows heat into the room. Ours is like a hair dryer or worse, a hot air blower, blowing in the kitchen.
All this to say I wish I had a powered exhaust vent also over the space around the wall oven.

Prayers for our team, our nation, Ukraine and ******.

Rather than argue slept in truck on hill last night pitty patter of rain drops helped. She called at 3:00AM no memory scared just woke up sugar level 130 no shot last night cool.
Prayers Buppies.

We thought my mom was ready to move to the nice assisted-living community where she stayed for rehab last month. But now that she's home, she's having second thoughts. The PT and occupational therapists are amazed at her abilities for being 93 and recovering from congestive heart failure...they say she was advanced beyond where they would end their service before they even started. My wife thinks the stress of moving and downsizing may be worse than living alone in her 2 story condo...I agree, but she'd have good folks to play bridge with and meals provided. She wants me to take her there for a tour. My sister had that scheduled for 3 days ago, but it didn't work out. We'll try again and she'll make her own decision. I see advantages and disadvantages either way.
My mom in same situation. 95 years old now. Multiple congestive heart problems. Still in her home since 1958. I'm the closest kid, at 100 miles away and I work an hour further away.

She uses a cane. I don't want to move her out, but sister is wanting to move her. She has her doctors and small circle of friends. I believe losing her doctor team would be a bad thing. But no driving is hurting her psyche. City has a lackluster ride service. They left her stranded at a hair appointment, now she refuses to use them.
Her memory is still decent, but sight and hearing going down fast...Might get her some apple ear bud hearing aids that are either coming out, or are already out. Her home could use a week's worth of deep cleaning. But she doesn't seem to worry about it. Money is an issue.

I agree, some are my wife's...lol
I was going to say something, but I have some "stray" records in my stack too.

Frits, I hope you are alright after fighting that tire. Was that a tubeless in the first place? Wondering why tube?
Nice tire iron set you have. Envious....but not of the flat. I just put another half gallon each of slime in our tires that size. Need new tires and rims. Trying to see how far I can stretch them. $30 worth of slime is cheap and easy, ours are still tubeless. I've had the tires off of the rims to grind the beads and bead area on the rim to get them to seal again. Painted with rustoleum rusty metal primer and yellow enamel. But hard to get the paint to dry hard when you are needing the tractor.

I believe I'm going to sell the older HPX Deere Gator. It only has 444 hours. Not sure how much to ask for it. Will have to check the marketplace.

Coffee is done brewing. 56° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 80° with clouds and rain in evening. Yesterdays tractor show was good. Not as many tractors as show in Oakley, MI. But lots of antique engine. Many of them running. Plenty of flea market sales. Got home in time to attend Local Alpacas farm open house. Fun to go out into corral and hand feed them. Son arrived at 2am for a few days visit. Sassy did all the welcoming. Then woke me up at 3am. Will be lots of visiting next few day. Have not seen him for a year.
Fall will be here in a few hours.

Good morning! 76˚F heading to the mid 90s. Today is the art show in the neighborhood activity center. I'll attend as we need one more picture and these originals by the artist that live here are really good.

I ordered an auto skimmer bot for the pool. The mature Live Oak yard trees looses their leaves in the spring but one of the neighbor's trees is about to shed it's leaves and with a strong S wind his tree leaves can make it all the way over to my pool. I figure the skimmer would be a big help since it is kind of hard with one hand and a 12' pole/net. I'll probably get the skimmer about the time I can use both hands but with the $100 Amazon coupon is was too good of a end of season deal to pass up. I will have one bot cleaning the floors and walls and one bot working the water surface.

Good morning, the low is 60 and going to a high of 75°F. Wind SE 6 mph. Cloudy.

I may get after the rear work light today.

I have a new oil filter and a drill pump coming. Then other than the oil which I will pick up at the end of the month I will be ready to change the oil in the Kioti. I made the executive decision that I am not going to open the plugs at the bottom of the pan any more.

Lou, do you have a tractor for each implement? If yes, then you cannot get any more. If no, then go ahead and get it.

Kyle, belated Happy Birthday to your wife and many more.

Ron, looks like a standoff at the feeder. Pigeon, "I'm bigger". Cardinal, "I'm prettier".

Have a safe day all

66 going to 75. Got some fog out there after last night's t-storms. Happy Autumnal Equinox!

Lou, I feel for ya...I never get the "mileage" out of a gallon of paint that is claimed on the label...even after first applying primer...but I like the job my sprayer does...I only run latex through it...use a roller/brushes if I'm applying oil based.

Happy Birthday to Mrs. Kyle! Kyle, sounds like your mom is a strong lady! Glad your boy is doing well on the football team.

Cut down a dead tree and into firewood. Did some limb clean up, but more to do...the upper limbs were brittle, so they exploded into small pieces when it hit the yard. I decided to shift gears over to mowing to get that finished before the forecasted t-storm.

I think I'll change the oil and hydraulic fluid on the splitter before I split this new cut firewood. It's been 3 years. Need to change the oil in my wife's suv, too...I think I have one filter left.

Plans for today...trim mow front field. 🤞 NYG win their first game...steady slow pace today.
