Thank you Scott, The stem has disappeared into the inside. I could take the tire off with tire irons etc and check it out but I want to save the stress on the shoulder and let the shop handle it. Back in my days changed tires on over the road trucks and tractors all the time

Good evening! Water temp is a nice 90˚, outside temp did get to 96 with a heat index of 103˚. PT was very exhausting pushed me to my limits, kept looking at the clock hoping it would end soon and had to ice the shoulder down when I got home. I did finish weed eating the yard with the new shoulder strap on the good shoulder and then took a nap. So ready for Fall and cooler temps.

Good (Saturday) morning. Overnight Low of 3.4C and it's presently 17.6C, lightly overcast with a wee breeze. There was 0.6mm in the gauge @ 0900.

Lovely yesterday with a number of 'organisational' phone calls made. Mostly accommodation (2 days) and a "Gordon River Cruise" (top deck) for 4 people at the beginning of January. Friends coming down from Brisbane.

It looks like a good day to drop that tree this arvo. I had a good look at it (situation) and it should come down safely.

I drained one gallon of the -20 antifreeze out of the tractor and replaced it with one gallon of 100% pure antifreeze. If my figuring is close that should bring the freeze protection to -70°F. I wont know for sure until after I change the oil as I am not starting the tractor until I need to warm up the oil to change it.

Made coffee to start day, putter too long, bike ride temp ended in low 90's, did go to Sherman after lunch for bike work. Nap and grilled burgers for dinner. 6AM departure for Greenville bike ride in morning

Quiet day yesterday, did take a ride to pick up some steak and cheese subs for supper, that was about it.

Yesterday 3 maple trees plus drop better than half of their leaves took backpack took backpack blower for good 2 hour hike...leaves are dropping early this year.

Yesterday was catching up on some paperwork and waiting for the fog and dew to burn off...Decided to take Della to the river for a swim. So, by the time I started mowing, the dew was falling again. But got about an hour done.

Good Morning
It’s 60° and still dark outside, supposed to be partly cloudy with a high in the upper 70’s as the day progresses.

Yesterday was a blur of activity, was at HD not long after they opened at 6am. I very pleased that I succesfully got the microwave/vent hood ducted to the outside. The issue was that it was mounted on a bearing wall supporting an LVL beam, so there was no going up through it. I got creative and ran a 3-1/4 x 10 duct flat on top of the cabinets through the side wall into the soffit. Then extended the top to the cabinets and added crown molding to hide it.

The duct actually goes over the side wall from the soffit and elbows down to run along the top of the cabinets.
So that was one more head scratcher crossed off the list.

All of the doors are hung and trimmed, all the closet shelving is done, it’s pretty much ready for the painter, got it all swept up, plan to vacuum today and move the last tools out.
The countertops are coming Monday, I’ll plumb the sinks once they are installed.

All of the outlets are live and the lights are all installed, I really like the one that is a downwash on the fireplace.

The cedar siding is going on next week, that should complete the exterior except for the concrete patio and walks which are a few weeks away. I moved the remaining fill with the loader to get it out of the way of the patio.
I’ve been telling people that it’s 99% done, I just have the other half to finish up.

Today I plan to vacuum some this morning, install a register in the ceiling by the front door that got overlooked, and then take the rest of the day off.
Probably take the little plane to Reading for lunch.

Got to the grasses yesterday. Yippie. Then got a real job call. So I am out of here in a few hours and will go into read mode for the next week or so.

Good Morning!!!! 56F ! 4:30AM. Areas of fog early, then partly cloudy this afternoon. High 69F. Winds W at 5 to 10 mph.

Finished unloading another pallet of firewood yesterday, and rolled the Honda generator out of the van and got it stashed away in the back shed. Cleaned out all the dirt and bark, put all the tools in the garage, and loaded up the e-bike for some riding, and camping if I can find a spot, today.

Lots of aircraft coming into town for the show, much of it practicing, too. Saw a Warthog and what looked like a Spitfire flying wingtip to wingtip. A B17 with P51 escorts made music coming over. Couldn't help but notice an F14 standing on it's tail with full afterburners, absolutely ear splitting. It was also doing that thing where fog surrounds part of the plane as it came in for a landing. Interesting, but I'll be a lot happier hanging out on the coast, and away from the racket.

Nice weather here is timed perfect-- friends are arriving tomorrow that will fill the house for a few days. Always fun except wife has had a bug for a few days now. Hope she is better when she wakes up today otherwise we need to inform our arriving company before they get here.
