Geo is almost done, just need a 3/4” pvc coupling to connect condensate line. Have it jammed in with no glue for now, turned system back on.
Also forgot to insert my temp sensor in the outlet plenum.
I think I need to pile insulation over the attic duct work.

Put new hummingbird juice out, waiting for one to find it.

safe and sound in Little America Wyoming, not too far from Utah border.
pretty tuckered out from this drive, glad to get in.
the topography is really amazing, a geological wonderland of all kinds of
crazy rock formations. Plus a lot of white stuff; I did see a sign for some alkali company.

so many bales of hay Hay Dude, started off round, then went square, then big square. There were mountains of hay in places. Gotta feed all those cows so we can have our burgers!

only saw a few tractors today, so far blue New Holland is more common but the green is out there too. Just not much being harvested now, though I did see some silage being cut.

passed an enormous drag line, pic makes it look small, it's huge
time for lunch, a nap and a long hot shower

If the Dragline was working that would have been a cool video, Drew.

If the Dragline was working that would have been a cool video, Drew.
I saw two very big things today.
That drag line, which I know works in open pit mining and
a ranch that went on for miles and miles and miles, I lost count of their signs.
to remember it I had to repeat Nissan Pathfinder over and over for awhile...
corporate farms based in Cheyenne owned by Sammon holding company in Dallas.
apparently aimed at ecological purposes and bird migration.
Pathfinder Ranches is comprised of historic ranches in central Wyoming and is professionally managed for the balanced benefit to western rangelands and wildlife habitats. Flocks of Greater Sage-grouse and herds of antelope and bighorn sheep abound across the sea of sagebrush and open plains.

there is so much open unused land here, part of the terrain is so rough and convoluted not usable for much. Thank goodness for interstates and air conditioning.

Don't get me started on Newark ...
my grandfather was raised and built a beautiful home in Newark.
A really nice home that is now a inner city church.
Back in the day...before he came to PA to get away from it and provide a safe place for his two boys.

there is no worse duty than taking a friend to Newark airport and having to deal with confusing signs for 78. All you want to do is get away from that area...plus the bad air makes your eyes burn.

Thanks for pics Drew. Beautiful country, different than here, but still pretty.
it sure is and a lesson in earth science and geology just looking at all those striated layers of rock, different colors, different events, that tunnel is simply gorgeous. If I lived in this state I'd find a place with a good supermarket, a Walmart Supercenter, and a regional hospital, and live just outside it.
But you see houses and small developments way out in the true middle of nowhere. You watch where the power lines go back to.

every bit of the roads for the last two days have been 100 percent fenced.
there are cattle everywhere, but I only saw some big herds a few times.
usually a few dozen, or even a hundred in a utterly huge field that goes on as far as you can see. The dimensions are mind boggling to Easterners.

my sister is emailing me fire/smoke warnings, guess that's next thing I will study. The air is slightly hazy but has no smell. And you can see a long distance but you can tell it's not totally clear. Looks like I'm heading into worse stuff.

geo officially done. got PVC glue all over my hands.
Had mexican at a place in a gas station that someone told us about. Authentic Mexican it said, and certainly was not the americanized mexican you find at most places. Was good.

Looks like I'll be headed to WV tomorrow to attend a funeral for a former church member.

Will certainly be thinking of the events of 2001. Never Forget.

Good (Wednesday) morning. Overnight Low of 8.1C and it's presently 16.1C, overcast & fairly clam. Rain is predicted for this arvo.

Yesterday was spent doing 'pickup sticks' around my property and taking them to the tip. What looked like a big job only took a couple of hours. Yay.

Today is 'into town' day for petrol and groceries... But first, I received an email that there is a water-meter detected water leak somewhere at the Church/Hall. <sigh> TasWater wants me to conduct a 2 hour "turn off all taps then read the meter" test. I might suspect the toilet block needed repair as being the culprit.

We'll see. I won't be available tomorrow as I have an eye Doctor appointment in Launie.

That's about it, take care all.

mostly, I got passed by 4 freight haulers (88,000 lbs) on an uphill grade My weight was 139,000 lbs, so obviously I was a bit slower but when I got to the top of the hill and into top gear that is when I can out run them. Half way down the hill they are all standing on their brakes, so I asked WTH they thought they were doing. They responded that there was a moose in the road, so I dropped it one full gear (18th to 17th) the jake brake started barking (I had straight pipes) the moose got off the road at a dead run and I told them to either lead or follow but to get out of the way. They left and thanked me.
If you don't mind 9:52 of driving a 85' long B train on a wet road hauling 139,998 lbs, at speeds varying between 50 and 70 mph, this is Hwy 599 heading towards Pickle Lake, ON. Listen closely and you can hear the jake barking as soon as I saw the cow start to move out of the ditch. She was the 4th one I saw on this road that day. I was running straight pipes then too.
