Morning all!

Got the cabinet installed in the bathroom Saturday. While I was there I removed the tub drain and cleaned it all out so it drains now!
Pic of install with new light.

That should be it now for this room!
Delivered the second wagon wheel that I repaired. Wagon has fallen off it's blocks and now needs floor work!! Brother says he will drop off the whole thing to my house once it is movable again.
Working at a different sister's house today if I can beat the rain. Needs storm gutter cleaned and a few other odds and ends.
Didn't do much yesterday but visit a little and enjoy our front porch. We did take a ride in the afternoon.

That's it for now. I need more coffee!
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!
Never seen a light fixture like that...very interesting.

I call those desserts quality calories.
if you are going to eat the "bad" stuff, make sure it's very very good.
and for most folks once a month seems safe
as a pre-diabetic, I would make sure that was the only sugary thing I had that day.
everyone's body reacts/processes/recovers differently

I started a diabetes thread here just to learn.
maybe taking wegovy will help
but if I'm willing to stick a needle in my gut every week
I'm also more serious about being careful with food choices.

60 percent of our bodies is water. Stay hydrated.
but folks with more fat are only about 55 percent water, fat holds less water
so perhaps not a stretch to think that overweight folks need more hydration since their
water tank is smaller. ?
over my pay grade

waiting for call back from Verizon
they did online diagnostics and it failed
2 down 136 up, should be 300/300

at one point I broke out laughing dealing with the AI
auto assistant.
It kept asking
would you repeat that?
and I'd reply would you repeat that
and back and forth we went
finally, thankfully, I must have timed out and got into
the service loop.
would I like 35 minutes on hold or a call back.

well, it was this morning's entertainment
I must admit I was baiting the AI, you just knew there was no one
human back there

Good Morning
58° and a brilliant sun is shining. High of 78 forecast today.

Thank you everyone for the well wishes. We had a great time with family and close friends.

Yesterday I did get all the mowing outside the pastures done with the Lazer and the Progressive behind the Kubota. Did a bit of RC flying with my son, Zoe had fun chasing the planes.

All the rain from last week changed the landscape from brown to green.

The red Panterra in Drew’s car show pictures belongs to a friend of mine, I recognized it immediately.

Good Morning,
Vt,55 to start going to 68 with sunny skies now but we did get a fair amount of rain last night so I’m glad I got the lawn done !

Phil, very interesting light fixture, and nice work on the little bowl made from scrap !

Bill, I’m sure you will figure out the conversion method, probably a series of button pushes or holds ! Sounds like it might be similar to setting the clock on my Polaris Ranger !

Time to get going out in the shop !

Hope all have a good start to there Monday ! 🙏

Good Morning!!!! 52F @ 5:30AM. Partly cloudy skies. Expect mist and reduced visibilities at times. High 73F. Winds WNW at 10 to 15 mph.

Interesting lamp, Phil. What's it called?

I delivered on the blueberry pancakes yesterday morning, and it held my buddy and I over until a late lunch/early dinner. We web ordered a selection of take out goodies from a Japanese restaurant and took them to a local park, laying out the spread on a bleacher in the shade of a big eucalyptus tree. Then went exploring on new to us trails much to the dog's delight. The only thing better than having a dog is someone else's dog you don't have to care for (or clean up after).🤣

Need to get packed up this morning for a return trip north, then head over to another friend's to get some help with the two way radio setup on the motorcycle. Not much else planned for the day.

Hope everyone's week gets off to a grand start!

I liked that lamp fixture too, nice design, maybe art deco?

spent over an hour on phone with AI and then FIOS tech. All to waste time when they
had to send a tech out.
Who is coming tomorrow morning.

picked some veggies, not much, headed out to fill a wagon with clippings, garden needs a haircut
particularly the blackberry vines. No fruit on you? off you go if you are over the line...

lovely day out

Morning all, 70 going up to 81 and sunny.
Spent most of the day with the weed wacker and doing yardwork.
Also putting out pool furniture for upcoming use.

My solar hot water pump died last night. I think when they replaced my furnace they did not put enough antifreeze in the system. New Taco motor cartridge and some af on order.

L4N - Happy birthday to Jr

The Buck and does have been hanging around the house for the last few days

More babies, this has to be a record year, we are over 10 fawns visiting since the spring. The early ones are already loosing their spots.

The bar/table is out and ready for the weekend. They are calling for rain, that would be disappointing. Bench is resting in the sun. Need to and down the pool bar today.

My conversion from kilometers to miles is (?)meters times 39 (there are 39 inches in a meter) divided by 12 (12 inches to the foot) divided by 5280 (feet in a mile). There is a shorter formula but I can never remember it.
eg; 32 kms is 32000 meters x 39"= 1,248,000 inches divided by 12= 104,000' divided by 5280 feet in a mile=19.696969 miles or rounded up to 20 miles.

ken, if you put a freezer outside maybe the deer will stand beside it for when you shoot them. A nice crop of venison.

The wild raspberries are ready for the bears and other wildlife to eat. I don't really like raspberries. Blueberries should be ready to eat at the end of August. They can have them too.

I have a new pool float for you and I'm coming rain or shine

pool sounds pretty good right now. Trimmed the veggie garden and then tackled the limb
that broke on property line edge. This time it fell on my side. Last time other side...
Makita just the right size for it and thankfully oil lube tank was full.
so steal two batteries from other Makita stuff and zipped right through it.
two loads on back of golf cart and my yard duties are done for today.

RNG, the fellow that delivered my trike followed google maps and arrived here an hour later than he should have after getting lost. Google hasn't updated their maps after the new highway was finished 5 years ago. In town it is good, but the transition from the highway to town sux.

I just found this preliminary weather forecast for the U.S. and part of Canada for this winter;

69°F and .11 inches rain

Drizzled all morning yesterday, no mowing.

But I did get to close out the Olympics before piddling around a bit.

Tiller chain at PO to be picked up.

Happy Hour at friends this afternoon. Hawaiian theme food. Trying Hawaiian garlicky shrimp.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

74F and partly cloudy @ 12:15, heading up to around 78F for the day's high.

Located drill and bits and got an electrical box on the deck joists taken down first thing yesterday.

Then took Cub around back and left it for Woman to load with the weeds She had pulled.

After that I headed up and worked on starting the new compost pile with the stuff that wasn't fully decomposed, also did more screening and added to the 2nd pile of screened material:

IMG_3387 copy.jpg

Don't think the leaves in the picture above are actually turning color, just the difference between which ones are in sunlight and which ones are in shade.

Took a break and came down to the house and cleaned up the last of the ribs for dinner and then headed back up to do some more screening.

Swapping out the flat face coupler nipple seems to have solved the leak on the loader valve ... (y)

Wind slacked off as it was getting dark and I sprayed the weeds that had sprouted and were growing up out of the 1st pile of screened compost. Got that almost all done before I ran out of juice.

Woman was visiting with neighbor lady and her dogs when I got back down to the house. She had picked a bunch off tomatoes.

Started refilling empty sprayer.

Went out around 01:00 to catch the peak of the Perseids, saw 5 or 6 very bright ones.

Mowing down here around the house probably on agenda for today.

Also finish refilling that sprayer.

Probably swap out Light Material bucket for the Shrub bucket and dig out several clumps of hosta at the southeast corner of the house and move those over to the planting bed east of the garden so The Woman can work on those.

Otherwise see what else comes up.

Hope everyone is having a decent Monday ... (y)

Hawaiian theme food. Trying Hawaiian garlicky shrimp.
besides pineapple, what other flavors would make it "Hawaiian" David?

went over to friend's home, place is fine, watered all the flowers anyway, and discovered cat box overflowing in basement, two
of them actually and now cat is dumping on concrete . Smells great too. I need to email my friend and tell her to offer 20 bucks to her lady that feeds the cats to clean out the little boxes. Not my job description...

@WoodChuckDad put in a similar unit. He sometimes drops on this thread. I don't think he has hooked up his loops yet though, thinking just his hot water.

I know my system still in my basement just has a water fill valve, an air scoop (I think it's called, that removes air from the line) with a small pressure tank above it. my circulator pump was on the boiler, and I put in zone valves, that I never could get to work. basically the zone valves took 12V signal to open when thermostat called for heat. I used a 12V relay that triggered when thermostat called for heat, with a stronger 12V supply to power the zone valve.
1" output line to air scoop & expansion tank, then it splits to two 3/4" each with a zone valve.

water makeup valve goes into return line, and circulator pump on input to boiler.

I’m late to the party. This just popped up on my feed of topics. Is there a thread talking about his boiler setup? Is he already done and all is well?

I was sitting down for a quick late lunch. I broke a blade off my Ventrac and can’t find it. Getting ready to take my metal
Detector out there and see if I get lucky

He’s got it plumbed, but not sure if he’s fired it up yet. Look back about 2 weeks ago

Hope you find the blade.
