Good morning, 20C/68F out this morning. Becoming slightly acclimatised to warmer weather now has me feeling nesh when the temperature is back to normal.

After 7 days the lowering of the water in the dam above Whaley bridge has gone well. They have it down over 10m and some people have now been allowed back into their homes. Although a few have complained at the inconvenience, the vast majority are extremely grateful for the huge effort that has been made to save the town - and the chicken's

BEF, you got me with all that rule breaking :D

Hawkeye, I have never heard of aluminium, oops, make that aluminum, decking before. Look forward to seeing the pics.

good morning all. Warm weather definitely back, low 90's in ten day forecast, very little rain.
I picked a lot of peppers at dinner time last night, was still hot out then. Okra growing like mad, stalks are now as tall as I am, will go up to 12
feet or so until knocked over by storms.
Buckeye, keep up the good news.
Hope we hear from Toppop soon.

Had an interesting time looking at rv's yesterday in Wilmington, then spent several hours with my friends.

Poured first cup of coffee. 61° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 83° with mostly sunny skies. Dr. appointment went OK. Waiting for blood test to come back. Lawn cutting is back on list today. Only got .06" of rain. But was enough to keep lawn damp all day. Need to replace solar motion light on walkway. Motion sensor has gone bad. No replacement except complete unit available.

Thanks for the well wishes and prayers. ALS is a terrible disease that there is no cure for or way to stop its progress.

Hawkeye, you know you will need to post pictures of the aluminum deck.

Drew, which RV did you put your approval on. Glad you got to spend some time with your friend.

Eric, great drawings.

Don, a cool evening of seat time. Good way to close out a day.

Randy, Buckeye, and others that are recovering. Prayers sent.

Good Morning All.

thanks Randy. Head West 2.
And then home to downsize.

with multiple close friends fighting advanced cancer now,
I admit to feeling like time is not on my side.
Which is why every day has to be a good one.
Preferably with seat time. ;)

Ron, not sure. I looked at Wonder and Unity models of Leisure Travel, the Canadian builder.
Also Renegade, built on MB Sprinter chassis as are most. Dealer hemmed and hawed as to whether Renegade
was an ongoing line. Maybe why the price looked really good.
Leisure Travel must be doing well, their wait time is 9 months for a new build.
Was disappointed that none of inventory had adaptive cruise, which is listed in brochures but ones in stock didn't have it.

Ron, sorry your wife is going through such challenges, I bet you are a great caregiver.

Ron, yes it was a great way to spend the evening. Now I’m rushing to beat the sun this morning with more tractor work at the windmill garden. Prayers for Betty and you.

Eric, i have been quite the daredevil, sliding from my bed to the wheelchair without someone watching me. At least i can now pull my own pants down and up in the bathroom, without having a nurse do it for me. All my PT and OT are nice looking young ladies, so no complaint there.

Baltimore had heavy rains yesterday that made the news, yet no rain here in west Baltimore. Lots of rain projected for today.

Got good sleep in a quiet room. Was watching yankee-Os game, but slept thru most of it.

You sneaker. :)

My 98 year old aunt had to be put in Hospice yesterday. She's been saying she's "ready to go" for a couple of weeks now. My uncle is doing OK. They've been married for 78 years. Great Americans. He worked on bombers in WWII in England.

Prayers for Betty and Randy too.

Astros' bats won it for them last night.

Yes, Eric, definitely save the chickens.....Glad to hear water is receding.
