IMHO (yes, that and six bux will get a coffee at Starbucks) most don’t like change, the main reason we post here is to share snippets of our lives with each other.
Likes, post counts don’t really matter. Although I could tell where I left off by the last “like” I clicked lol.

On a lighter note we got 1.6” of rain so far today 👍👍

who cares about the likes. We didn't ask for them anyway, they just showed up.
now it adds a burden on all of us, do I click, do i click too much, will he notice I didn't like, etc etc
ad nauseum

one always wonders if someone complained.
maybe someone wasn't getting liked fast enough.

when in doubt, I'd give Muhammad the benefit of the doubt here as far as a good reason.
Would be nice if he elaborated.

David/Sodamo said it best. Why muck with something that works unless someone complained or
somehow this saves someone money. ????

I bet someone complained. You can sure find something wrong with an angel I suppose...

Nobody complained, it's one of a number of changes in forum organization that I've planned and only recently had the capability to sort out a growing problem with "good post" numbers.

Ultimately my goal is to better organize the forum for easier use, but also come up with an elegant solution to recognize members who contribute knowledge, and activity.

Not trying to ruffle feathers as I didn't see the forum header under which a thread is posted to be an important factor, or at least not as important as the content that's being posted.

It is his playground to do with as he wants if I don’t like it I leave. I do not believe you need to own acreage to be here knowledge and comradery among us sharing stories values how to fix how to do things and sometimes we make friends along the way

Could you create a thread where ONLY you and mods keep track of all changes in the last (for example) 30 days and keep it updated? Someplace where we could KNOW what you've done to the board recently.
Change is almost always resented. But it's frustrating to see threads disappear.
