Good (Sunday) morning. Overnight Low of 4.1C and it's presently 9.2C, partly cloudy with a gentle breeze.

As per usual, I'm off to Church in about a half hour and then the rest of the day is His.

Need to pick up a few cattle panels at TSC for a project

This reminded me about something I read on Facebook... and, somewhat related to, the Olympics.

I learnt that "hurdles" were originally pre-fabricated fencing panels, made of woven branches in a fairly standardised length/hight. Made, of course, by 'hurdlers'.

The splined collar is off using bigger tools. Looks like at the end of the shaft the splines was a little deformed and that was hanging it up. But all off and cleaning up the aluminum housing that was on the underside of the mower deck. I may as well change the bearing in the housing and the two shaft seals as well before putting it back together.

Popg, thanks that would have been next step. I don't think I will rebuild it because the gears and parts are expensive and this repair will likely last longer than the mower anyway. But had to either cut trough the aluminum housing on the underside or cut through the cast iron gearbox to get at it

It gave me a good test run raising and lowering the front of the mower using the Milwaukee drill all quick and effortless.

Every year we have a coast guard festival in grand haven mi. We usually go through the week but not this year. Too many people and road construction.

Tonight did go cuz it was the fireworks. They had drones out along with the Pyro.

I'm amazed with what they can do with the drones.

Poured first cup of coffee. 61° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 87° with some clouds in afternoon. Got Kubota mower greased and lube levels checked yesterday. Got warm very early in the morning. Will do JD mower today. Hope to spread some weed killer along fence line before it gets to hot.
