good morning all
cool morning looks to be a nice sunny day in high 80's.
slept like a rock last night, woke up to power going off at 4am, UPS beeping, lights flickering, came
back on a few minutes later. I came home to the stove clock flashing so I know we lost power last night also.

off this morning to have coffee with landlady and to take her some tomatoes.
She sadly is dealing with a return of cancer, colon in her case, and she is being operated on next week.
Her two sons have taken over the landlord business and we get along fine.

if Ken is home later, will take him some tomatoes, have to move the tomato merch...

Thomas's pics of Boo really are amazing. I've never seen such a seemingly tame bear, Boo sure knows he has it good there

I guess NASA has finally admitted they don't trust Boeing's rocket to get the astronauts home, worried it will blow up.
There were supposed to be up there for a week and it's now been five weeks. They appear to be stranded. Maybe SpaceX can
send a rocket up and bring them back.

I would not want to be on Boeing's board right now, though I bet they get paid well...

I would like to be out on Scott's boat, that sure looks like fun.

Morning all!
A gorgeous 55 degrees out this morning going to a sunny low humidity 83!!
Working on finishing up the wagon wheel this morning and then off to a party this afternoon. Will deliver the wheel at the same time and possibly pick up another for repair.
Managed to join the procrastinator's club the last few days. Did get out in the shop to start on a magic wand project for a buyer and made myself a shot glass out of apple and walnut. Quite a challenge to make it 9 inches long and around 3/16 thick on the stem. Glass is around 1/16 thick on the rim!
Held my breath while making it!!
Even got a few wows from the wife on it!
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!

gorgeous cup Phil, that's a pretty big "shot". What are you drinking?
as that was getting skinnier and skinnier I can see you mumbling don't break please don't break

going to go visit this place in next few weeks, seems like fun on a hot summer day.
hoping to take a few kids with me.
not that far away, I'm close to the main road to Flemington NJ but I prefer the back way in through
Stockton after crossing the metal Center Bridge bridge. Lots of metal bridges.
When you live near the state line and that line is a river, crossing over is always a tiny adventure.

The fire is really looking good tonight.
Almost like Christmas in July.
Faux Fire LED flickering fire lights. A four hour charge will give me a 8 hour fire. I really should have a video to show the flickering.
S’more time

Another nice afternoon out on the boat !
That's a great picture Scott. You are a lucky man!

Contractor finished the RV lithium battery upgrade yesterday. He returns this morning to walk me through everything that was changed. He seems to be a perfectionist so everything he installed looks nice and tidy.

Lithium batteries can accept a faster charge than lead acid, so he added a Victron 50a smart charger. This supplements the 80a charger in my RV inverter. So when dry camping I should be able to more quickly get the batteries back to 100% using my RV generator.

Everyone have a great day !!!

Thanks to popgadget for steering me in the right direct in finding the geothermal problem. Now have to decide on a course of action. Might replace entire system with high efficiency heat pump since unit is undersized. Will depend on costs. This will put porch ceiling and deck projects on hold.
Been running this system 12 yrs, would like to have gone longer.

The small tube with tiny hole broke from the bottom of TXV valve in middle. The purple wire goes to thermistor above, lowtemp caused by this broken valve is causing the compressor to kick off.
BEF, replacing that is a simple common repair, if you don't want to splurge yet for new. You could supplement cooling with a mini split in your most common room to support the geo unit. I'm drooling over a new heat pump like Popgadget got. It would save me a lot off my heating bill which is electric.

Kyle sorry you don't like cats.
I do like my barn cat about 95%. :) She sheds like crazy and doesn't like to be brushed. She likes just a little attention maybe twice a day.

I got behind and will have to catchup on Thursday and Friday's posts.

Busy still at work.

Good Morning,
Vt, 56 to start going to 80 ! Totally sunny but humidity is back, almost looks like smoke !

Today we will go out on the lake a little earlier, because we have dinner reservations at the Barrows Inn, in Dorset, at 7 pm. Kind of expensive but the food is always very good !

That's a great picture Scott. You are a lucky man!
Plowhog, thanks but I need to remind myself that when she gets me involved in some of these large assembly projects like the bunk beds ! 😂

Don, it sounds like you have plenty of good suggestions for your door repair !
The fireplace looks great BTW !

Thomas, great shot of Boo by the DW ! He looks to be quite a character!

Need to get some weed wacking done this morning !

Hope all have a blessed and safe Saturday! 🙏
