Good morning!!!!

Coffee is brewing. 61° with mostly clear skies this morning. Heading to 80° with afternoon thunderstorms. It amazes me how many people can fill in a 3 block long parade route. Weather cooperated until late in afternoon when we were having a BBQ meal. It drizzled enough to send us all into house to finish out meal. It was a good 4th July party.
Going to finish doing SSQA adapter project today. If storms hold off may get grass mowed.

Everyone stay well and safe.

Good Morning All.

good morning all
not as much rain as hoped for, only .27 in rain gauge this morning
that will green the lawn but nothing else, so watering continues

fireworks last night in neighborhood were fun. Both neighbors across the street set off lawn fireworks, the glorified
road flare stuff, but it was fun. I could look out my window and see both sets of fireworks going off. I did my five sparklers to
get in the mood, and that was it. Town's fireworks are tonight, not sure if I'm going to that.

the rain started about 9 pm last night, right when fireworks going off, actually good since it likely prevented some brush fires.
As I watched my neighbor's bottle rockets go shooting up into the tall trees...
there is a local park about three houses over and from the sound of the whump whump whump they were shooting off good sized
fireworks, but trees blocked the view.

hot and sticky and 94 today.

70F partly cloudy day humidity high mid 80's for high.

Outside chores done E muffin time.
Plans for today...4 hours at part store, afternoon mow the lawn than see what rest of the day offers.

Enjoy your day all.

I was wondering if the rains would wash out dinner barbecue last night so i did mine early, summer sausage, chicken thighs
and burgers. I'll have food for a week. Important to get enough veggies and roughage; I find the burgers, etc tend to plug me up...
Local supermarket had 73% hamburger fresh ground for $1.99 for a holiday special.
Couldn't miss that, I'll crumble up some of the cooked burgers into a red sauce for pasta.
at least if local market grinds it, less chance of the proverbial snouts in there...

that fatty meat makes wonderfully juicy burgers, but when I was done, noticed a beefy "fat slick" in my mouth.
I usually buy 85 percent burgers. That extra fat sure makes them cook nicely but at the end of
the day, it's just fat. Which clearly should be minimized.

I always thought that was a good feature of a normal grill, it lets
the fat drip off. Am hoping if I go on the fat pill, it may drip off me...

do you leave things on top of your kitchen stove temporarily?
maybe not a good idea

recently a house fire in Colorado started when a dog pawed the stove controls and turned it on.
I googled the event and there was an almost identical event a year ago somewhere else.

if you have critters, need to be extra careful to not put the mail down there...

My kiitchen stove is Induction. Much less chance of fire starting. Requires something steel/magnetic able to be on induction area in order to turn on. Had the same thing in our Motorhome. Much less heat created when cooking. Because only pan on stove gets hot.

Big storm this afternoon lots of lightening very close .43 in of rain better than nothing

Have a great evening
Some rain sounds good, Buppies. It's tinder box dry here-- worried about fire season already.

101F in Nevada today, but I'm about to leave for CA where it will be 103F. Yikes. Check on plants and trees and make sure they will be watered.

The old farmhouse in CA has no A/C, and wife thinks 103F is too hot for a puppy. So I'll make it a round trip today by myself.

Everyone have a great day !!!

Good morning,
70° now highs in the low 80’s and cloudy today, light winds, dew point 69° already and headed to the low 70’s shortly. May see some scattered boomers by early afternoon.

Neighbor down the road puts on a pretty nice fireworks display every year, can just see it over the trees and loud enough to hear with the ac running lol.

Did a little weeding in the garden yesterday and watered again in the late afternoon. Steak, salad, bread and wine for supper last night was excellent 👍. We’ve gone back to using a big old cast iron frying pan, I haven’t even uncovered the Weber for two summers, probably find critters living in there!

No real plans today, just about to take my coffee outside and water garden, maybe that will help bring some rain this afternoon.

Enjoy your day everyone
Stay safe and healthy

I always look inside the Weber before I turn it on.
never know what has taken up residence.

induction burners sound like a great safety idea Ron

this morning going to run gen and a/c in rv and see if I can smell the
hot wires smell I got before. Will have gen compartment open with IR heat gun used.
am concerned with connectors and ends. AC draws 7 amps, should not be
making smells. Where there is smell, there is smoke preparing to arrive...
also going to check under the bed where the main AC panel and converter is.
gen oil all changed and unit cleaned up, putting up a stink is not allowed.
And the smell of hot wires is pretty distinctive; not a pleasant smell to an old fireman.

Don and other Texans, prepare for a lot of rain, that storm is headed your way Monday and Tuesday.

Lots of bangs around last night, but didn’t see any for the trees.
Son’s cat very skittish around strangers, yet curious enough to check us out. I got to pet her last night. She won’t come downstairs, will lay at top of stairs and watch us, then zoom into his room if we get too close.
Supposed to be 98° today.

Daugen fyi my generator has a precaution to keep the door shut and unit sealed otherwise it can overheat

Good Morning
It’s 75° with 98% humidity. High over 90 forecast. Overcast now, might gets breaks of sun later, and then good chance of thunderstorms.

We had a line pass of weather through last night, left us about 5/8” of rain, but that was after we had already retired for the night.

I made some more progress on the plumbing, got the 3/4” hot and cold supplies run from the boiler room to where they will branch out to all 1/2” home runs to fixtures and appliances.
IMG_4724.jpg

Pretty sure that I got all the studs drilled for the 1/2” runs, but it’s entirely possible that I missed a few. We will know when I go to run the lines, probably today.
Ordered some more material from SupplyHouse.com, they have been a great resource and the order arrives the next business day with free shipping.
Spent some time at the pool in the shade, taking it easy.

Morning all, 77 going to 94 and overcast.
Got some needed rain last night.
Got some pool time while the sun was still out.
Today head into Manhattan to pick up son.

Did see, and certainly heard lots of fireworks last night.
Just did a small fountain and a few sparklers.

Be well,

First figs, in a month earlier than last year.

Good Morning,
Vt, 67 to start going to 84 with high humidity!

And the smell of hot wires is pretty distinctive; not a pleasant smell to an old fireman.
Drew, I am the same way ! The Fire may have not started yet but there is extreme possibility that it will !

Well I ended up cutting up that maple on the north side of the property so no work got done on the saw horses !

We took everyone out on the pontoon boat yesterday , all 10 of us. We bought one of those floating mats and tied it off to the boat, the kids had a ball on that thing !

No big plans for today yet but with the heat I’m thinking water related !

Hope all have a blessed Friday! 🙏
