Worked on table last night fixing issues and rough sanding.

Sodamo - hope they finally fix the tractor, at least the fail has been witnessed.

RNG - back side of table is pretty ugly, thought about flipping it , but....
Fire looks pretty scary, hope it does not spread too much.

Back to the day job,

RNG how much longer before you are ready to list your property or are you going to "Sell by owner".
It sure is a relief to have only one property to look out for.

The ToDo List still has a couple dozen items on it, Don. And in these temperatures, it's not gonna get much shorter.

Still haven't decided on how to approach the sale, but I'll have some time down south to work something out.

A little field mowing today

Sunny and already 87F @ 11:00, DP 69F, HU 61%, "feels like" temp 95F ...



Will be heading up to the shop here in a few to work on needle-scaling t-posts, doing some some shop clean up, etc.

Possibly a trip to Menards later this afternoon for some soaker hoses and additional tomato cages once/if the storms and rain arrives.

In any event, it will likely be an inside day for the most part.

Good morning! Low was 56°, heading up to 87°. Got another 1/8" of rain yesterday, so 1/4" this week, on top of the 3/4" last week. Fields have turned green.... for the short term anyway.

Next few days will get hotter, no more storms until the weekend.

We got our water bill yesterday, enclosed is a monthly newsletter. That storm 2 weeks ago made the front page.....


At the time, the wifey said it seemed like a tornado.... yep, she was right! This was just over a half mile from us! Took down 15 power poles, damaged some houses, and took out a few outbuildings. Very rare for our area, but still scary!

Way behind on reading posts, everyone is really busy! Great puppy pics, waterfalls, projects, etc...
Eventually I'll get caught up.....

Might start to clean the windows today, about a month past due. I clean the screens, hose off the windows to remove all the blown dirt out of the tracks, then lube them with silicone. It's a messy job for sure, I usually get soaked doing them, so I wait for hotter temps.

Today will be piddling around prepping for tomorrow’s gathering. Need to marinate some chicken and season some pork loin to grill tomorrow. Yea, the food is the most important. LOL

Of course a bit of housekeeping, throw a case of water in the fridge, clean and hook up the beer taps, but nothing too arduous. Expecting 40+, pretty much the same folks that have been coming for years.

I had changed my flag for Memorial Day so is looking great.

The closing went well on the old house last week. But the week before closing sure was stressful, not knowing for sure if the closing would really happen. When things are clicking along too well you start expecting glitches.
