Drew, the price of fuel usually goes up overnight, but takes weeks to come down and not by much.

BEF, cats hate change. It will and probably does roam the house when the lights are off. It just isn't too sure of the people, other than your son.

Don, new flags always look good.

Just bought new Annin flag on amazon, made in US. Need to get it up for the 4th.
He keeps door closed at night so it doesn't get to roam. My wife and son have got to pet her. We are keeping our cats in basement for now, but we did try to socialize them together yesterday, but his cat hid under the bed. Ours just sniffed around at her carrier.

Good Morning Ken,
Did the router bit pull out on you because it wasn’t tight enough !

You could probably mill a slot across and splice a piece in that spot but you will need a piece that matches ! That can be tough ! Of course nothing like a thickness planer to make the job easier ! When I built the dining tables for my sons, I used 6- 7” wide boards to make up the 42” w top. I joined the edges and used biscuits just for alignment! Then I would glue just 2 boards together and then glued each 14” section together!

Best of luck with the patch ! 🙏

68°F and .3 inches rain

Over 50 lbs of shredded cardboard so far. That’s just the 2 bags I weighed. A 3rd is started. And I still reserved a couple large pieces.

Need to make another dump run.

Will make a brewery run this afternoon. Need to replenish a keg for the 4th.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

non metallic cable/Romex run though conduit
better make that conduit oversized if you can only fill it
up to 51 percent. And never outdoors.

this will have Popgadget out measuring his conduit fill percentage... ;) :giggle:

84F and sunny @ 14:00, and calling for a high of 84F for the day.

Got the last 8 Cherokee wax beans planted first thing yesterday.

The (newer) B&D battery-operated drill has taken a dump apparently. Seems like it might be the trigger switch ... :(

Spent most of the day though topping off the planting holes for the cabbage and broccoli and giving those plants a good watering. Got that almost done, just a few left to go.

Also swept the excess dirt on the fabric over to the edge.

Woman did more weeding and trimming on the strawberry plants.

I started to remove the chain-link fence on the indeterminate tomatoes on the vertical trellis. Will need another set of hands to finish that up.

Amazing how fast things grow. Seeing lots of tomatoes forming on the vines.

Checked the bag on the Japanese Beetle trap out front, not quite full.

Got the hopper feeder put back up and refilled, also scattered some seed for the ground feeders.

Agenda for today:

Schedule a couple of bills for payment.

Install Lock-N-Lube coupler on grease gun.

Grease the loader on the Kubota.

Finish up work on cabbage/brocolli.

Change out the bag on the front Japanese beetle trap, check the others.

Finish removing chain-link fence on indeterminate tomato plants.

Unpin the weedblock fabric on the east edge of the garden and get the dirt leveled out.

Plant the remaining green beans.

Been a good week for finding things. Woman found Her car keys after they were MIA for several days, I found my little flashlight I normally carry after losing track of it for better than week.

Hope everyone is having a decent Tuesday ... (y)

got everything caught up outside, taking a break, then back out to see if I can push some mini US flags into the lawn.
It may be too hard. I broke a bunch of the last ones. I think I bought a batch of 100 or something years ago, plenty left.
maybe I'll drill the holes with the special long drill I bought to put in driveway marker stakes.
now I wonder how many of those tiny flags I have left.
have drill look out worms

not good news for RNG and other California homeowners

State Farm disclosed it is seeking a 30 percent rate hike for homeowners, a 36 percent increase for condo owners,
and a 52 percent increase for renters as a result - a move that would only worsen the state’s already present housing crisis.

those are hefty increases when you consider the existing rates were very high to begin with

good afternoon, 83 which is the high for today. Nice day with full sun.

Picked up the garbage can and replaced it with the recycleable can

Picked up groceries. Called in refill for one med for pickup tomorrow

Mowed for a few hours. Had not mowed for a few weeks since no rain with little growth.

Neighbor lady called wife and wanted permission to take down our fence. This is he neighbor that was shooting into our property and doing the bump stock shooting at midnight. And dumped load of rocks over the fence for me to clean up.
Wife said to call back and talk to me but she did not call back. Sounds suspicious so went up to see what is going on.
He had excavated several feet down along our fence and had built a new driveway and pad for pole building. Looks like very little set back so drainage could be a problem around it unless he used our land to slope away from the building. Maybe another case of no permits. He should have located it further back into his property but it would have required more fill. Mowed along the fence line and will check it often to see what he is up to. The pole building supplies are delivered and the ground was marked with red stripes for the building.
What happens to come and talk about it instead of as the neighbor lady said she had searched for wife's cell phone for a long time???

sounds like all the more reason to keep a fence there, with past behavior. I know I have 30 ft restriction on the road side of my lot, but only 10 ft to the neighbor. Seems backwards to me...

Got yard and field all mowed. Wasn't real bad, but the planton tops and another weed makes it look bad if you don't mow. 3 weeks since last mowing.

I always calculate it, but also only ever use THHN in conduit.

Seems like he is just trying to push your buttons because HE knows HE can probably get away with it.
/edit - for a while.
If he can remove your fence, then he can start using your land.

My day took unprogrammed turn, but a good one.

Still having coffee when I got a text from my dealer tech saying to call him as he was coming Hiloside this morning.

So my priority became my tractor would fail while he was here. Got it to fail and repeated fail all morning.

Shawn arrived and tractor failed within minutes
He spent next 2 hours doing his thing with his test equipment, with fresh version of all software.
Took lots of pics of the results. Performed some computer generated fixes. Took the tractor down to an area of high, thick grass to test. Fail. Tractor limped back up to shed area and more tests.
Not fixed, but Shawn feels he is armed with enough data to get LS help and will keep me informed.
He is also labelling as Warranty work, so repairs may on site vs trailering back to shop. Of course that would depend on level of repair.

Hopeful

David, that sounds like some very positive work on your tech coming out !
Hopefully this data will resolve the issues ! 🙏

Good (Wednesday) morning. Overnight Low of 2.2C and it's presently 10.9C, overcast & calm.

It's 'into town' day for a script at the chemist, some mail and groceries. I also need to stop at the tip as the 'wine bottle faeries' have filled that recycle box up again.

That's about it, take care all.

I truly hope they can fix it. Makes me wonder if documenting the complaint, and the level of service, online here, has made the mothership tell them to "Jump through Hoops"???

No one should go through this much trouble...to get their tractor running right.
