Good morning!!!!

Good morning, the low is 52 and going to a high of 64°F. Wind W 6 mph. 40% chance of showers.

I am going to try and get outside today if it isn't raining and do some bodywork on the Dodge. In front of the drivers' side door on the fender the paint is bubbling and the lower front if the passenger door as well. I've got two angle grinders, one with a wire cup and the other one with a cut-off disk. I also have a rattle can of stone guard in black (the colour of the Dodge).

I think that will be enough work for one day.

A bullet will only stop one deer, a large dog will stop many as long as the dog doesn't leave your property. Some people take exception to dogs chasing deer.

Have a safe day all

have been working on my St Louis visit on the way to California.
Always wanted to see the Arch.
And after my sister and BIL telling me to avoid the traffic of San Diego, I have rerouted California and now
planning on visiting St Louis zoo. Along with PJS hopefully. Unfortunately timing puts me there on Labor Day.
talk about crowds...maybe we can go early.
one never knows, could be pouring rain that day so always have to be flexible.

Also want to see Cahokia Mounds, not far away to east of rv campground located in parking lot of downtown casino.
Looking right up at the Arch I think.
Casino parking lot over Labor Day.
I'm sure it will be nice and quiet....bucolic tweeting of the birds, and the sound of a babbling brook.
maybe I have that mixed up with someplace else... ;)

now I have to work on California again. Might be able to get closer to Scootr.

Bill take it slow and easy and be the turtle that wins the race.

Don, did Whipper run off the deer for you? Doesn't someone make a motion sensor water sprinkler designed to squirt them when they get close?
The deer never bothered the back yard while whipper guarded it and deer stay away from dog urine which she supplied along the back fence line. The only problem with the motion detector sprinkler is that they have to have a charged hose connected which is subject to a leak or bursting.

Good morning! 72˚F heading to the upper 90s, S wind. Partly cloudy this morning clearing this afternoon.

The plant move went well yesterday with the ramped panel truck supplied by the realtor. They even left a big wheeled dolly so I could move the trees/plant about where they will be planted in the new back yard. It was hot and I had to take too many breaks so I'm running behind in moving the odds and ends. But first today I need to pressure wash where the plants sat on the patio at the old house. Then continue to move garage stuff. I want everything moved by the end of the week. Having the item you need at the other place is getting old.

65 and partly cloudy, going to 87.

Great WWII stories. My dad was in the Pacific and part of occupied Japan.

Kyle, Happy Birthday to your daughter. Hope your celebration today is a good one. I'm also missing Kilroy...sent him a PM a few days ago, but haven't heard back. Glad you got that special lawnmower going. My FIL gave me his old Sears riding mower when we moved here...I had been push mowing 2 acres with a 20" 3hp B&S. Had never even been on a riding mower...before we moved here, had always used a reel mower...mostly on weeds coming up through the sand dunes covered with pine needles.

Several weeks back a storm blew down a wild cherry tree, about 12" at the stump...it was across a seldom used path, but decided yesterday was the day to begin converting it into firewood. I ended up with 2@6' FEL buckets full. Even though it was in the low 80's, the humidity was low, so not too bad...except I picked up 3 ticks. This year is the worst I've seen them...probably because we seem to have more critters around than ever.

Good Morning
65° with a high in the upper 70’s today. Overcast now with gradual clearing. Chance of rain diminishing as the day goes on and becomes sunny.

Yesterday was a perfect day to be outside, sunny, cool and breezy. Took advantage of the weather to do outside chores. Made some progress on the old folks home, cut out where the radiant heat lines will go into the existing garage, where I’m building the boiler room. Between the 1” insulation sheathing and the urethane foam, it’s a well insulated garage.

I moved some soil around to the front of the house with the loader to backfill along the new concrete ramp, and laid some sod to finish it off.

After grilling a nice lunch, I dropped the loader off, and hooked up the Progressive mower, and with my helper got all the open areas mowed.

He makes sure that we get all the clippings off the decks before it gets parked.

After we put everything away, he played with Zoe, she got quite the workout.

Then his mom came up for dinner, she brought corn on the cob and salads to go along with the chicken I grilled. Son was working late and missed the festivities.

The 25 year old Lynx grill just keeps chugging along. In all those years, the only thing that I’ve done other than clean it was to replace the piezo igniters with battery powered ones.
When you consider the longevity, like all good tools it was worth the expense.

shopping done, thankful fridge in rv was nice and cold as I loaded some food
now waiting on friend to show, once she has left sun should be coming out so hope to get
some yard work done and wash outside of rv. Since I can't leave too early tomorrow morning, might
delay that wash job til 8am tomorrow since I can't leave until 10 anyway. It's only two hours.
The guy who I'm visiting is fastidious about his cars, house, etc.
so aside from two hours of prime Pennsylvania bugs, rv should be acceptable.
reminds me need to take windex out and do the inside of windshield.
weather will be dry which is nice.
everything is growing like mad here.
my cukes are now climbing into the second story rigging I made for them
