surprised no Lake Drew this morning but now I see the debris lines up on the lawn as usual.
So it filled up and went away quickly. That's good.

thunderstorms after lunch today, going to try to mow the lawn later this morning when it dries out a little.
I like mowing after a good rain, as long as grass has dried a little, the ground is softer and far less dust.

Ken, Friends Village in Newtown is best value locally, Pennswood is very expensive. But good...
would be easier on you to have him closer. I think...

Headed to 102F today. Had a brief thunderstorm yesterday.

We are off going camping for a few days-- who goes camping when it is over 100F anyway?

We pick up a pup next week .... wow they grow fast.

I'm disappointed Buppies has not figured out what caused the giant kersplash in the pond-- hoping he has another chance!

Everyone have a great day !!!

Good Morning
73° humid, going to middle 80’s with a chance of thunderstorms this afternoon.
Last nights storms brought us just about 2” of rain as the fronts passed through.

I did get all the plumbing and conduits finished, only had to dig up and move one conduit. I measured everything at least twice, but had the conduit too close to the edge of the island cabinets to be comfortable. Good thing I measured it a third time.

Tomorrow it all gets tested, then cover it all up and grade the stone for the CreatHeat installation next week.

I had to take the string trimmer down to the street and clear the sightlines for exiting my driveway. I had to go at least 100’ in either direction. I’m impressed with the Makita cordless trimmer, didn’t even use 50% of a battery using .095 Echo black diamond line on waist high weeds.

Today I’ve got to do some equipment maintenance, the progressive mower needs to be greased, I need to change the water in the plasma table and clean the water pan, and a host of other things that have been pushed back by the construction. And it’s trash night.

Morning all, 73 going to 84 and cloudy, rain later.
Got about 1" rain yesterday.
Started raking up the cuttings from the bushes, managed to at least get a few piles before the rain started and I got soaked. Now it's a mess to clean up when it gets drier.

Dad finally got his operation, seems he also cracked some vertebrae. He was too out of it last night for us to talk to him. We are looking at rehab and also the possibility of long term care. The cost though really woke me up, Cali the highest, NY right behind that and by me the cheapest. Still many thousands per month...

L4N - how long have you been waiting to us New Liskeard in a sentence :)

Thanks for sharing the pics M7040

Be well,
Rooting for good outcomes on this for you, your Dad and family.

It's just hard. Stay positive.

Good Morning!!!! 54F @ 6:00AM. Foggy this morning, then partly cloudy this afternoon. High 72F. Winds W at 5 to 10 mph.

Here the county is in the middle of changing trash contractors, as Waste Management lost the last bidding cycle. Got the new cans from an outfit called Marborg in the past couple days, and WM emptied their cans for the last time yesterday. I'm hoping today they take away the empties. Marborg takes over pickup in the first week of July; until then WM will be emptying the Marborg cans. That's a lot of cans to trade around. I wonder what will happen to the old ones.

Didn't get far with the new helmet comm system yesterday before I found the coin battery in the push button controller dead. Got a new one at Walmart, now only a few minutes up the street instead of 45 minutes. Learned they now keep them up at the front by a register, and only hand them to you after you've paid for them. Got the helmet synced via Bluetooth to the iPhone and GPS unit, but the radar detector remains elusive. The helmet has its own built in FM radio that'll come in handy for picking up local news. All this managed by cryptic push button sequences on the side of the helmet, or voice commands. Good thing on that last, as I don't look forward to trying to push buttons with riding gloves covering my fingers.

Just as I was falling asleep last night a false alarm came in from a motion sensor at the house up north. Cancelled it before the monitoring service called the police, then just left it off. Cameras didn't show a burglar. Or any other trigger. What a piece of junk. Then at 1AM or so came the rumble of another launch. Sheesh, between the buzz and woosh of airplanes and first responder sirens all day and wee hour launches, this place is anything but quiet.

Hang in there, gang, Friday's comin'!

You use 3” or 4” main under slab? I did my existing house, probably with my neighbors help, but I never took a picture and don’t remember what I did.

I was wondering when the lack of peace and quiet would become evident. I'm sure it's quite different there than your old place, but shopping convenience is a partial trade off I guess.
